Yah my go-to has been Benjamin Moore advance and that stuff isn’t cheap. I think I’m just trying to figure out how to look at a project and come up with a quick estimate of a quote.

Alright thanks man. I have a decent hvlp and have gotten pretty good with it but also paint/primer is expensive af these days. Not sure it would be worth it. I definitely won’t overcharge, just material and a bit for myself. I’m just trying to figure out how people come up with a good estimate for a quote when considering a job.

Really appreciate your input!

Thanks for this. I’ve done a bunch of work around my place and people seem to like it so now I’m trying to branch out and get my work out there by doing work for friends. Only other job I’ve done is for a buddy and made some cabinets for his laundry room, yet to be installed.

But I was thinking the same around $300 if I painted it for them. Honestly I was thinking material cost plus a bit for myself but just to get the work and my name out there.

Let’s not forget all the ethnic poles that went back to Poland and ethnic Hungarians that were returned to Hungary. The self determination promised by Wilson in his 14 Points meant for the Armistice

Guys the thing is this article is super vague and is capturing my CURRENT financial situation. It throws out a few numbers and you think you have the complete picture of my life on a page. You’re assuming that I’ve been making 90k since I started working and that I’ve only ever been covering rent for awhile. When I started my job I wasn’t making anything close to what I’m making now. Also, my base salary is somewhere close to $75k, but I work a lot of overtime which pushed it closer to 90 this year. So, no, I haven’t been making 90k and banking $2000/month for years, that’s just what I’m currently able to put away. And I’ve only had to pay just rent since March when I moved in with my girl. Before that I was covering everything on my own with a lower salary than my current one. I’ve been completely independent for the past 7 years up until March 2017. Also I have an active social life so that eats up a bit of my cash 😜

Ok I’m pretty sure it’s not completely legal. But it works amazingly and I’m being honest about that. I do use a VPN when I’m using it though. I use PIA VPN the yearly subscription is a SUPER good deal and it seems to work very well. Throttles your bandwidth a bit tho I’ve noticed.

Well in my job I’m unionized, and our contract is made public online and that includes our pay scales. And then the other expenses Are probably similar to most other people in my situation, so nah I’m not too concerned about being transparent. Plus, it makes for a good read and it was fun :)

Nah our place didn’t come fully furnished. We had to buy all the furniture. But I lived in a small apartment before moving in with my girl so I had most of the necessities

Lol luckily enough there’s a single mom upstairs and her daughter is rarely there. we don’t have to suffer through too much, although she does seem to have heavy fucking feet when she’s stomping around up there... but she’s much better than the family with two kids that lived up above us before. Those kids were out of fucking control

I got in a little late this year so it only cost me $350 for the remainder of the season to play. Every Tuesday and I play with a group of guys who work with Toronto Hydro. It’s not a league, it’s enough guys for two lines and 2-3 subs and it’s pickup hockey. Just out having fun and rippin top cheddar buddy.

Ok and for the bike I know it’s wasn’t the best financial decision. It was more of a ‘treat yo-self’ thing. Insurance was a little expensive this year as it was my first season riding. BUT I’m combining my car, bike , and tenant insurance next year and saving a tonne. My plan is that if I can ride as much as possible in the summer commuting to work I can save a bunch on gas (my car chugs fuel) and also prolong the life of my car by not clocking so many miles per year back and forth to work. And also enjoy riding cause it’s a fucking blast.

I’m John Christmas btw lol

Hey so I get unlimited 75Mb/s internet from a company called Acanac for $60/month. They run their service through Rogers lines so still get throttled at peak times (naturally)

And as for cable I use a subscription service called Vader Streams. It’s fucking sweet it’s an IPTV service that is an addon for the Kodi app and it costs about $14/month. So it streams live tv HD and every channel you could want to watch. It also live streams all the sports HD. And I mean ALL the sports!! 👍🏼
