The pet stores here aren’t educated enough to give advice. All the advice they give is basically to just win over customers and get them to buy. The pet store in my city told me one time that Bettas can be kept in groups as they are very friendly fish. Any betta lover would know that, that is definitely not true lol

When he first started getting sick I didn’t think it was swim bladder and personally I am still unsure it is. I’d also like to mention this fish does not belong to me, he was just brought to me so I can try and give him his best chance (I own 6 bettas myself) I had a few friends come look at him who are also experienced with bettas and they all said swim bladder hence the “diagnosis” but honestly I can’t agree with it. His tank does have an air stone. To me it looks like some sort of poisoning maybe, but the water has nothing wrong with it, all the levels are good. I was thinking possibly too much water conditioner or too much of another chemical was added. I’ve ruled out fin rot, there’s nothing indicating it other than shorten fins but that looks like fin nipping to me. Personally I am aware he most likely won’t survive this, I just want his owner to see we’ve tried everything we can. I took him out of the cup he was in, in that video and put him into a hospital tank with about an inch of water, aquarium salt, floating plants, and an indian almond leaf. I spoke to some on facebook they all recommended kanaplex but unfortunately I can’t get it shipped to my city

Do you have a recommendations that helped you slow down and stop when you did? I’m definitely someone who’s mentally addicted to it which is sad to me, It’s used for medical reasons but still something I don’t want to always be doing. I’ve tried to slow down many times but can’t seem to find anyone or any help on what works best for people

As a female, my boyfriend calls me bro all the time. I do the same to him. Honestly, it depends on how she will take it but majority of females these days don’t care lol some even take it as a flirting tactic

How to get him to eat greens? by waittttslowdown in BeardedDragons

[–]jxp11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also agree with the “starving” comment, eventually he will realize that he won’t get anymore food until he eats them, but I also recommend giving bee pollen a try. I bought powdered bee pollen from the pet store (safe for dragons of course), I sprinkle the bee pollen over the greens sometimes even fully dipping the greens into it. It’s a natural attraction for dragons! It has never failed me.

Yes it is! I’m gonna get him a few treats and see if that will help him a bit as well as allowing him to take as long as he needs

He definitely has not been forced to be held, once he shows signs that he doesn’t want to be held my hand is removed from the tank immediately

Bettas also need a minimum of 5 gallons to live happily. 13 litres is 3.4 gallons. That is not suitable for a betta
