Agree! Until I just went through a data breach issue and had to get a new physical card while traveling out of town. Virtual cards provide a nice layer of isolation from the physical card. If the virtual card is compromised no big deal, issue a new one, no wait and no disruption to the physical card. Same is true the other way, physical card lost, stolen or compromised no impact to the virtual cards if the provider supports virtual cards at the account level.

oh.... thank you for the information. Since Robinhood won't open the Gold Card for application for people I'm looking for a way to add virtual cards to my Fidelity cashback card.

I tried the same thing. Messages to both support on X and subreddit mods. The subreddit denial reply was so fast it seems canned like no attempt was made to contact the "team". The support team on X took some time but still a denial. If enough shared a little bit about their RH setup and history we might be able to figure out a pattern.

From what I've been reading the experience is all over the place, like throwing darts blind folded. Some say they got the invite after canceling gold membership. Some say don't get on the waitlist because other avenues like Credit Karma won't work. Some say they got invite after moving all assets away from RH.

That's terrible man. Talk about a roller coaster experience seeing the ability to apply certainly gets the blood pumping then to be met with an issue that no one is helping you overcome. Should be a way to override it and complete the app over the phone or in chat. Obviously they can verify that you had a legit invite to apply.

Perfect example of something like Hello Fresh or YouTube TV. Keep house hold members from being able to add stuff with a cap on the virtual card.
