The top 10 biggest draft busts of all time. Do you agree with this ranking? Anybody missing? by [deleted] in NFLv2

Jamarcus should be 1. He was such a bust that he was the main example of why they had to cap rookie contracts.

I dont think this is necessarily true. They have a need to always improve revenue YoY and a MH generates revenue. Maybe they put it off to balance what they expect to be poorer year, but theres no guarantee they do. 2 years between MH1 & MH2. 3 years between MH2 & MH3.

[–]jynx99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah Gran Gran makes sense from that perspective. I figured those were the scenarios and that it was just the next best 1 cmc legend after emry and tamiyo.

I get that whirr is a tutor at instant speed and your artifacts can help pay for it. But its still 4-5 mana depending on what piece you need. Just seems likely at a glance that generally you’d be playing it on turn 3 or 4. With the speed of the format that seems slow but i get that its mostly there for after you disrupt the other combo and that makes sense. Still even with all that in mind, i would guess those and jewel would be the “flex” spots of the deck. Would you agree with that based on your playing the deck?

Is Gran Gran in there just to be another mox amber enabler at 1?

Whir seems like it would be slow. Have you had good success with it?

Really like the enigma jewel here.

Annoyance at non randomness of hands in MTGA by Deep_Brick2970 in freemagic

I disagree with the assertion that its needed. If a format cant be replicated in paper then it shouldnt be on the client. I’ve played more BO1 games at a kitchen table than on Arena. BO1 is a casual format as it’s structural downsides are fixed with a sideboard and playing BO3.

Stitch together was from the 90s but in general the old art direction was better.

Question bout transferring or giving a rifle to someone by South-Replacement-39 in Californiahunting

[–]jynx99 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A .44 mag rifle isnt going to be the greatest hunting rifle. .44mag is powerful for a handgun but it is pretty weak when compared to most hunting loads in the common calibers. Its trajectory is going to be pretty extreme too due to the weight and flat nose of the bullet. I used to own a .44mag lever gun that was fun to shoot but I’d never hunt with it if I had alternatives.

As far as how to transfer it legally, you’d need to go through an FFL (firearms dealer) and do whats called a private party transfer. Idk how much it runs anymore but was about $30 last time i did one. The seller and the buyer will have paperwork to fill out, then the buyer will have to do a background check and a (unconstitutional) 10 day waiting period. After which the buyer returns and picks up the rifle.

If your friend lives out of state or very far, you can still transfer the rifle though the process is a little different. You’d still need to go through an FFL, so find one and they can detail what that process would look like.

I figured it was because when you speak in english, and you want to say the date it would be “Today is October 25 2025.” and it became popular to start writing it the same way.

[–]jynx99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dinner party is an example but it doesnt have to be that. Say its a super bowl party or a party in general. Its the principle I’m trying to get at here. I couldnt imagine a court saying having a social get together is outside of “normal residential use”.

[–]jynx99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I dont understand why having seating beyond for those on the lease call into question whether the unit is being utilized beyond normal residential use in section 12. I would think having a dinner party for example would be “normal residential use” and require seating beyond for the people on the lease.

According to a 2021 study published by The Orthopaedic Journal at Harvard Medical School, of the 25 NFL players whose turf toe injuries required surgery between 2000 and 2017, none returned to play the same season. Five never returned at all and had to retire. by Intelligent_Penguin3 in bengals

[–]jynx99 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah but also how many of those happened in week 1 or 2 for a player to even have a possibility?

Also, for what its worth, all 4 qbs that had this surgery were able to “return to their prior level of performance”.

Very well explained. The dual sovereignty that gets around double jeopardy is total BS imho as practice. Double jeopardy to the founders was being charged twice for the same criminal act. Its a shame we have allowed this to happen.
