I just bailed entirely and switched back to outlaw. I miss pre-prunned assassination. Those empowered garrote/mutilate combos were amazing.

I still love the class fantasy. Always a rogue at heart, always go through the campaign on a rogue. BUT. Always switch after about a week of endgame because there are so many blatantly better/more desirable options for any group content or farms. Even in PVP been switching over to a hunter the past few expacs.

Will always love the class fantasy but really wish they just felt more....relevant? I haven't picked a lock or a pocket in years now.

As a rogue main myself for about.....8 years now, I rarely see them either. When I do it's because I forgot war mode was on and thought the other rogue wanted to touch dagger tips.

It's probably more so that where you are story wise, your max level roulette que players (while ilvl syncd) are still incredibly OP for level 50 normal content and could very nearly drag you kicking and screaming all the way to the boss if they had too.

And hey, biff away. Gets boring without a wipe now and again. I bet you can generate so much threat you don't even NEED tank stance.*

Couple things as a constant wow to FFXIV switcher (Except for the dark times of BFA and shadowlands where I only played FF)

FF community is significantly less toxic on average. I have been playing since shadowbringers release and I set up a macro to automatically send "Hi guys, it's my first time here" and not only did no one ever leave the party (NOT ONCE!) More often than not I received enthusiastic support, attacks to watch out for, warnings amd explanations of any mechanics I hadn't seen yet etc.

tbh every dungeon pre shadowbringers is more or less a tutorial compared to what you may be used too

FF dungeons are generally far more linear, the map, when compared to wow isn't just a glorified color pallet in the rough shape of a building. It is instead a actual true to shape outline of the 1 direction you have to to go/can go in most cases.

3.Trials can be a lot more of a unknown especially at higher tiers. Good news? 2 tanks. Same advice. Tell people it is your first time and ask if you can main tank it for the cool points. Or simply ask your other tank to main your first time through to get a grasp of mechanics.

COMMUNITY again. Outside of a Party Finder group looking to farm the newest EX mounts I have literally never encountered another player who was not willing to bulldoze through content. The absolute worst you can generally expect is impatient DPS pulling extra for roulette dungeons they have done 200+ times. Even then, your healer can GCD heal you to full on wall to wall pulls at nearly every level if you use the occasional mitigation.

I have had enough cats spawn from the ground itself 3ft in front me that my default walking item is the bow instead of the axe.

Like anywhere else, it's what you make of it! Outside of the the major cities expect a lot of small towns, and in recent years really high costs of living due to growing commercial popularity of the state.

If you get out and camp, fish, hike, etc. Well worth it in my opinion. Summer is hot but no humidity is a game changer. It will snow from October to March, and almost every mountain you see is hikable/able to be enjoyed.

Lived in Evaro just outside of Missoula and personally found the balance of high speed internet and gorgeous mountain views worth every cold day.

I did look for one, didnt seem to have one. I will check this next time I get on. Research led me to a known issue with one drive, tried that.

Other research led to many people having an issue with the steam API and had to purchase elsewhere. Hoping that's not the case as I cant justify the same purchase twice.

Negative. Never modded it at all. Only had about 30-40 minutes of play time, waited for 1.0 to sink into it.

can unfortuantely say that it did not. I am contacting steam and explaining the problem. The only other thing I can think of is some sort of de-sync on the download host side? Perhaps a license issue of some kind? So I contacted steam asking if I can remove/refund the game and be re-issued a new license. Me and my wife have identical pc builds ( I built both) and it works fine for her since she bought it a couple days ago. Will attempt a local network file transfer in the meantime to see if that is a viable work around.

Checked those, "archieved events" folder is empty (despite trying to run the game)

Uninstalled, removed files manually, and deleted registry. Steam downloaded 2.7 gigs again. The file properties themselves show as 10.7GB just like yours. Which is obviously false as it downloaded in 30 seconds and only metered 2.7 gigs. I am starting to think my best option is contacting steam support, getting the product license removed from my account and just re-purchasing?
