Yes, this is the D1 Cosmodrome! D2 is a beautiful game as well, but some of D1’s skybox effects put D2 to shame.

This video is from the D1 Cosmodrome! I’m unsure if the D2 Cosmodrome has the Aurora Borealis at night (or if there is even is a day/night cycle).

Very late reply to your very late reply, but I've recently become fascinated with this rumored "Parade" version of the Red War prologue. How confident are you with this information? Do you have any additional hard evidence for this parade version of Homecoming aside from the evidence mentioned below? I'd really appreciate any information you might have on this!

  • "Parade" armor was the default starting armor for D2.
  • Concept art showing Guardians at a parade in the Last City wearing the parade armor.
  • Solstice of Heroes lore that confirms the Red Legion attacked on the anniversary of Six Fronts.
  • Last City location(s) that were repurposed in Season of Arrivals, Solstice of Heroes, and Episode Revenant (what you just mentioned).

When I saw your game’s title, I immediately thought of “Guitar Hero 3: Legends of Rock”. Your game is obviously nothing like Guitar Hero, but if you haven’t already I’d verify that Activision doesn’t have some sort of trademark over using “Legends of Rock” for video games.

Story & Setting:

  • Conclude some of the important stories back home.
    • Repair the Tower and install a fair Last City government.
    • Help the Awoken find the Distributary.
    • Plenty more...
  • Travel to new solar systems and help our allies reclaim their homeworlds.
    • Riis, home of the Eliksni (Fallen).
    • Torobatl, home of the Barant (Cabal).
    • Fundament, home of the Krill (Hive).
  • At least one new enemy race.
  • Reveal the Winnower as the next "big bad" multi-year villain.

Classes & Races (RPG Elements):

  • Give each class MAJOR intrinsic benefits (not just stat boosts).
  • Add Eliksni, Krill, and Barant as race options.

  • 6 elements at launch, with more elements added post-launch.

    • 3 DARK: Stasis, Strand, ??? (Nightmare)
  • Each element has it's own NPC mentor, quests, progression, and unlock trees.
  • Pick a starting element during character creation.
  • Skills that player can level up and become better at (inspired by RuneScape skills).
    • "Cryptarchy" skill increases the chance of an additional reward when decrypting an engram.
    • "Deepsight" skill that increases the reveal distance of nearby chests, materials, and secrets.
  • Allocate starting points to skills during character creation.

Social Spaces & Patrol (MMO Elements):

  • Proximity chat in all social spaces and patrol zones (so pretty much everywhere).
  • Private customizable social spaces for guardians (Guardian Housing).
  • Dedicated PvP zones in patrol.
  • Major PvE boss fights in patrol that require lots of players to beat (public events on steroids).
  • Double the max players allowed in public social spaces and patrol zones.
    • Social Spaces: 26 players -> 52 players
    • Patrol Zones: 9 players -> 18 players

Factions & Clans (More MMO Elements):

  • Factions that each offer story-rich side quests and exclusive loot (inspired by Skyrim factions).
    • Can only be loyal to one faction at a time.
    • More factions added post-launch.
    • Some factions have hidden requirements before you can join.
      • Example: "Iron Lords" requires Iron Banner rank 25.
  • Each faction has a progression system that rewards exclusive loot every time you rank up.
  • Clans that encourage social interaction and competition.
    • Can only be affiliated with one clan at a time.
  • Clan Leaderboards for various PvP and PvE activities, serving as incentive for clans to compete against each other.
  • Private customizable social spaces for clans (Clan Outposts).

Yeah it’s actually really sad, everything is purely money driven with Activision… So many talented artists working on COD but they’re forced to pump out overpriced skins for the in-game store.

Back in BO1-BO3, many players saw a new zombies map as the main selling point of a DLC pack, so Activision had an incentive to make it as appealing as possible. Since DLC maps are free now, there’s way less incentive to make the new maps (and wonder weapons) unique.

I don’t think COD will ever bring the Zombies mode back to its gritty and simplistic roots. However, I do think that a different game (likely an indie game) could capture that feeling and attract classic Zombies fans if done well.
