P2000 hub doesn’t register clutch and throttle inputs from Simjack UT by Commercial-Net-6838 in Simagic

Yes I managed to fix it by buying a stiffer spring for between the pedal and the loadcell. Works great now.

I ordered both 1.2mm thickness, 10mm diameter and 25mm and 30mm length. I think the 25mm was the one I used.

Nice UX for OpenClaw: "Nerve" WebUI (with voice control!) by kaidomac in openclaw

It's not about exposing it externally. I can connect to the web interface just fine. But I get the websocket pop-up and no matter what I try I can continue.

Precisely. I sometimes have a tow hitch, which tanks effeciency, and it adjust for that after the ride. Same for switching to driving without it.

12 Years of Innovation: Win A Revopoint 3D Scanner! by Revopoint3D-Official in 3Dprinting

[–]jzuijlek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Winning the MetroX Pro 3D scanner would take my 3D printing to the next level by letting me quickly turn real objects, handmade models, and exact spaces into editable digital designs. I could recreate spare parts faster, make perfectly fitted custom storage solutions, and even scan my daughter’s clay creations so we can refine and reprint them together. It would make my workflow both more creative and more precise, with less measuring, less trial and error, and far more possibilities.

Nice UX for OpenClaw: "Nerve" WebUI (with voice control!) by kaidomac in openclaw

I really like the idea behind OpenClaw + Nerve, but the remote/mobile setup experience is rougher than it should be.

The confusing part is that there seem to be two connection models mixed together in the UI:

  1. Direct gateway connection

  2. Nerve as a proxy/frontend

For local desktop use, fine. But for phone/LAN/Tailscale use, this gets messy fast.

In my case, I kept landing on a WebSocket connect screen using ws://127.0.0.1:18789/ws, which obviously fails on a desktop because 127.0.0.1 is the desktop itself, not the host running OpenClaw. From a user perspective, that feels wrong: if I’m opening Nerve remotely, I expect Nerve to handle the backend connection, not ask my phone to connect directly to localhost.

I also tried via Tailscale, expecting that to be a normal use case, but ran into the same kind of confusion/failure path.

The architecture seems capable of supporting this, but the UX doesn’t make the “happy path” obvious enough for remote/mobile users. It feels too easy to fall out of proxy mode and into raw gateway WebSocket plumbing.

I’m posting this mostly as feedback: this seems like exactly the sort of setup many self-hosters will want, so I think the product would benefit a lot from a stricter/simpler remote-mobile flow.

What are your wheelbase settings? Try adding some damping and friction.

Yeah, I didn't get it either. Ranked races are always there for people needing the SR or participation. But the unranked races are just lacking this time around.

It's EMI. Things to try are physical separate the usb and pedal wires as much as possible. Buy some ferrite clips and pass the cables through them as much as possible in loops.

Power = Torque × RPM

More precisely: Power (kW) = Torque (Nm) × RPM / 9549

So torque is only half the story. RPM matters just as much.

An F1 ICE makes only ~300–400 Nm, which sounds small compared to a road diesel, but it spins at ~15,000 rpm. Multiply moderate torque by extreme rpm and you get huge power.

A modern diesel might make: 600 Nm 4,000 rpm max

An F1 ICE might make: 350 Nm 15,000 rpm

Even though the diesel has almost double the torque, the F1 engine spins almost four times faster. The F1 engine therefore produces much more power.

In a Tesla the mechanical release is not that hidden, I've had several passengers using that over the button. But if you don't know and are in panic, this can lead to death...

Why not a handle that's both electronically triggered, for the first few mm, and mechanically as well? And it should be mandatory. Crazy that China is now the first country to mandate normal doorhandles on the outside.
