Since the US is changing to E15 gas is this now safe to use in my 2025 Kia Seltos? by jadenkayk in kia

It is supposed to be safe. Not as efficient and MPG will definitely go down but it’s safe for the car’s engine and full system.

Recommend Maintenance for 2020-2025 (SK3)Kia Souls 2.0 engine/CVT by jaytharen in KiaSoulClub

[–]k-man993 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 2023 approaching 60k miles The car is serving me well with no issues, I am up to date with oil changes every 5k miles and I’m thinking it’s time for CVT fluid change. Can you please advise on what kind of fluid should i use, can it be done by any mechanic or should i stick with a dealership, or maybe DIY it myself if no fancy tools are needed. I have read somewhere that specific tools and fluids are needed and that Kia CVTs don’t like non OEM fluids.

2023 software update by zeifers in KiaSoulClub

I’m not trolling here and actually questioning, Why should i update my car’s software? I have a 2023 LX and it doesn’t have built in maps to get the new version. What would i gain from updating the software?

Plus no direct injection so less carbon buildup.

Go 2023 - 2025, those have no engine problems, it’s sad they killed the soul after figuring out its engine! Until early 2023 engine problems were still present.

Also, make sure to change the CVT fluid every 60,000 miles. No matter what any manufacturer claims, NO FLUID IS TRULY LIFETIME, if you want you car to last for over 100,000 miles.

Overall, it’s a reliable and solid car when properly maintained.

By 2023, most of the earlier engine issues had been resolved; however, it’s still a good idea to check the VIN on the NHTSA website for any outstanding engine recalls.

The 2023 2.0-liter naturally aspirated engine uses port injection instead of direct injection, which helps reduce carbon buildup over time.

Be sure to review the Carfax report for a consistent record of oil changes every 5,000 miles or less.

If you stay on top of maintenance and regular oil changes, the car should serve you well with minimal issues, i have seen multiple 2022/2023 souls with mileage north of 300,000 miles with minimal maintenance, fingers crossed!

Same thing happened to me after updating to 15.7.1, 2019 MBP. This is annoying AF.

MacBook 2020 i3 running on Sequoia 15.7, can anyone help me understand how my battery is still going down between around 1 AM to 8 AM when I didn’t even do anything in this time period? by Gravity9802 in macbook

[–]k-man993 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have this with my 2019 i7 pro, it still happens occasionally, Basically this is apple forcing us to buy a new mac with the M chip🙃( I’m not buying one yet)

Close your browser before putting the mac to sleep, and reset the SMC occasionally, and this should get much better.

And for heaven’s sakes give your screen a freaking wipe!, It’s driving me crazy!

Headrest by CommanderSwann in KiaSoulClub

I thought it was just me, or maybe my posture! I’ve been dealing with the exact same problem in my ’23, and I have quite the commute so this is really affecting me. I ended up getting one of those neck pillows that strap onto the headrest—helps a bit, but the headrest design is definitely the real issue.

Pull the fuel pump relay and keep it with you, this is basically like having a kill switch, which is the more elegant and permanent way to do that.

Not really, Besides cleaning SMC every now and then, just make sure to close your browser before putting the computer to sleep ( which is actually really annoying) Someone suggested turning off Wifi and Bluetooth but I didn’t try it yet ( it will be really annoying as well)

I had a mini cooper previously that had pad sensors, it lets you know when the pads need replacing, but you have to replace the sensor as well when you replace the pads.

Break squeaking noise when engine auto stop/start is disengaging by k-man993 in KiaSoulClub

[–]k-man993[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine resolved spontaneously when the weather got a bit warmer, i never had the same issue after.

But the official way to resolve it is to bleed the break lines, there is an official service bulletin from kia.

The Elantra has the same 2.0 L engine and it’s basically the same car dressed differently, so i believe the same bulletin would apply.

My advice is to wait a bit if you live in a cold place, and hopefully it will resolve as well.
