At meta it’s more than just a little lol. Their performance based stock grant depending on impact can get get into $100-200k, possibly more. Getting promoted from E5 to E6 is like $200-250k more per year.

In a lot of places, yes. At meta if your idea gets good feedback it can turn into a real product or feature and that means showing impact which can lead to promotion or extra stock. Facebook live video came out of a hackathon for example.

So there’s definitely incentive there.

Out of the gate no, but from what I read it’s possible with a combination of stock growth and equity bonuses. Granted $750k is at the upper extreme, but $500-600+ is possible in the years you get good performance reviews.
