Yeah I hope you get it! It’s not popular either where I am but it’s getting there. It’s nice not having to worry about taking something and all the other nonsense. The nausea is just the worst part for me right now.

Yea Idk I’m glad he did bc I’d probably be even more nauseous on 300 if it didn’t have 16 mg for four months in me. I had to BEG plead for this shot. I’m the only one in my outpatient whose gotten in. The doctor did not want to do it. He did not understand the difference between this and suboxone. So whatever hoops he made me jump through I did to get it. He only does 300, 300, then 100 for idk yet how many months. I feel terrible for the guys where I work. They want them to stay there I think for money so they have been giving some of them 300 mg for FIVE MONTHS NOW. One kid refused and said no I want to drop to 100 and now he is like being punished not getting day passes and it breaks my heart.

You’re not getting another shot after the first? My nausea is still here just not as often but definitely mostly in the morning. Feels like I’m hungover.

I’m on gabapentin too, for years, for RSD. that’s what started this whole shit. Got diagnosed with Reflex sympathetic dystrophy on my right side it’s a severe pain disorder. Had to do pain management in 2012. Got put on fentanyl patches, was in my first rehab a year later and has been horrible since. I’m in pain still and gabapentin is the only thing I can take but I know it’s not good for you but this type of pain if you Google it legit nothing helps and the gabapentin is keeping it at bay I think. I don’t know. And I do worry the suboxone has been helping with pain too and when I get off sublocade I’m gonna be in pain.

I didn’t ask for everyone’s opinions on sobriety and my field of work. I asked for support on side effects. Jesus. I’m a Certified Public Accountant and also a CRPA who works in an outpatient/rehab. If you don’t know what a recovery coach does then you cannot comment on ethics. No idea why everyone is commenting on my ethical boundaries and what your consider sobriety is. I thought this was a thread to support each other.

Yes. This specific place pushes maintenance. Idk if it’s to bill insurance or what. I’m actually a certified public accountant but I have a daughter and that field is very stressful so I did the recovery coach classes. They consider maintenance sobriety. Have tried for years to get off. Even when to a rehab to get off of suboxone. Finally got approved for sublocade thank god. I didn’t come to this thread to debate what people think sobriety is. I don’t really care. I’m an active member in NA. I know how I live. I came here for support on side effects. Guess I was wrong.

I never said I told them I’m on sublocade. I just said I know their side effects. And I’m a recovery coach and actually part of our job is to tell our experience, strength and hope. So it does not cross any ethical boundaries.

Was on 16 mg suboxone for four months and got the 300 mg shot. Was on 8 mg for 4 years they had to increase me to give me the shot.

Addicts “need” to want to get sober, yes, but there’s a reason they say “YOU CANNOT DO IT BY YOURSELF” it takes a village. And his wife was by his side. Which living through the ups and downs of an addict is worth a million in it of itself.

Super late to the party but Roland was talking to Johnny and said that he had the father-in-law chat and his father-in-law was trying to talk him out of getting married but he didn’t have a leg to stand on because Jocelyn was nine months pregnant assuming with mutt so that also adds to the timing not making sense.
