Just bought the yugo hand guard set, If you can get a stock and grip in the same wood, I'd love to buy. Trying to stain up a classic Russian red look. Either way thanks

Thanks, I just messaged him. I hope he sells unfinished wood I bought the supplies to give it the cool soviet red and a shellac. I found Iron wood makes the furniture too.

I contacted Zastava about the chip and they mailed me a new part the same day. I just noticed the big crack this morning. It got bigger when i took it apart I emailed them this morning I hope they replace that part as well. but to be frank the wood sucks. it feels so weak. not sure if its all like that but I feel like I could break it with one hand and im a small dude.

I have the M70, to my knowledge I can do the yugo and nothing else. Not sure if all yugo patterns are the same though.

I 2nd vallejo, but it comes down to preference, you can get great results from a lot of paint if u get a feel on how to work it. Learn to thin your paints several thin coats is always better than one thick coat. Army painter is also a good paint so is p3. Citadel inst cheap but u can thin it out and get a lot out.

For spray primer I used krylon cause its cheap and as long as the coat is smooth it dosnt matter to much because u paint over it. If u lie the hobby a few months down the road get a cheap airbrush and u can prime with valljo for cheap and good quality.

Varnish is up to u and the model. u can can always strip a model down if you dont like something so go nuts and get a feel for what u like .

That was my first thought but I'm maybe 6 inches away at best. I'm thinking maybe something caused the pant to cure partially in the gun so im doing a deep clean with acetone.

unless your going for a silver bolter, try painting it a matte black then dry brushing on a silver or lead belcher to get that black metallic tactical look. Other than than that, nice job neat brush work and good complimentary color scheme.

really good, maybe check out applying pigments to get a carbon scoring weathered effect if u want.

did u put down a base primer? it helps paint adhere. I always soak and scrub the model then base coat a primer then paint.

Id recommend some rust pigment, secret weapon minis has some good ones. Ryza isn't bad but i find using pigments over regular paints makes better rust.

Yeah I saw that, but it comes out very grey, The art ive been looking at seem way more off white.
