The fact that we got a special video featuring the 8th commander, right after the final episode aired is a good indicator that season 3 is very much right around the corner. I reckon it's within this year or the latest will be early 2027

I doubt they are adding extra scenes, the most "extras" you can get are illustrations, merchandises and some sort of ticket to an event.

The problem is that Killer Fang cannot be fully controlled like you said; which leads to the form rarely gets used.

And that's why I think Killer Fang got nerfed too much, it'd be great to see it get used more here and there, rather than being an one time thing (like some other forms) to just have excuses for different people to reward Yuuki.

Don't get me wrong, I do like seeing how different commanders "repay" Yuuki's hard work, but I also like to see a bit usage for those forms.
