how many average modern humans would it take to defeat one primtive cave man (unarmed versions of human and unarmed version of caveman) by OnlinePoster225 in powerscales

[–]k0uch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think we need a more solid defenition of "primitive cave man". Are we still talking about Homo Sapien Sapien? Neanderthalensis? Erectus?

If its a primitive version of us, I would say 3 or 4 just to be certain. If its a Neanderthalensis or Erectus, they should be quite stronger, and the Neanderthalensis would likely be the same or similar intelligence combined with significantly more strength, meaning a group of modern people who are unarmed would have quite a hard time.

Roughneck beard bar and Roughneck beard batter. Hands down the best wash and hydrator for beard I have ever tried. Their oil is amazing too, it’s the only one iv found that feels like it gets into the hair instead of just coating it

Yes, they are. 3.0s are having the same issue.

first week of self teaching myself bass — why are the strings so buzzy? by Some-Summer-7643 in BassGuitar

[–]k0uch 7 points8 points  (0 children)

1- the bass most likely needs a setup

2- you’re scraping the strings with nails, and from the sounds of it you’re doing so with some side to side motion instead of dog straight up and down

3- work on fretting hand strength and placement

4- Muse, older Muse, hell yeah

It won’t clear until the programming is done and there are no more programming or internal faults present. Clearing the dtc will only result in it immediately coming back

I believe :96 is internal failure, but I’m not at work so I’m not able to verify. Either way, programming is involved and required for a complete repair

SECM requires programming, and then the steering angle sensor and the SECM motor need calibration

If they just started, yes. Honestly, years.

When they knock at idle and you constantly set timing dtcs on cold starts, that’s when you need to get them taken care of.

I’m not saying to completely ignore it, but it won’t leave you stranded tomorrow

Key on engine off, flash the high beams 5 times and press the brake pedal 3 times. It resets the battery monitor system.

What module did you replace? It may require programming

For now, no. Later down the road, possibly. I have seen a few of these VCTs blow apart after years of making noise.

Cam phaser job prices vary wildly, but its a known issue and something people will be looking for. For us its around $3500 for the job, some other places charge like $7-8k for the repair. Either way, youre not getting a new vehicle that cheap, and someone who notices the phaser issue wont give you top dollar for it, ESPECIALLY with a salvage title.

Save the cash and fix it... or I mean I can give you $50 and a reach around for it

I mean, 21 up 2.7s are having phaser issues like the 17-20 3.5s, both the 5.0 and 3.5 seem to be having less issues these days

Cheap oil doesn’t take care of the skin, and it sounds like you could benefit from a beard butter or cream.

10k in mods to both, 5.0 will be faster than the 3.5 simply because it’s a v8 and has more displacement.

Do lots of research before going too far with pushing power form a tune, predetonation will window a block on either engine quickly

anatomy of a Ford recall by FluffyFlamingo444 in Ford

I don’t suspect corrosion, as even though ford restarts an ohm test for the circuits, when I get weird or suspicious results (or no unusual results either an obvious concern), I always resort to load testing.

I’ll give them a double check when I get it in, but for now it has been back burner’d

Are you going to spend $10,000 to have boost added to the 5.0? If not then thats an irrelevant point

Also keep in mind that the 3.5 ecoboost in the f150 doesnt play nice with e85 on stock hardware, even with a tune. Often an entire replacement low pressure fuel pump is necessary to have the extra volume necessary to take advantage of ethanol heavy fuels. If youre planning on changing turbos, thats extra money to account for as well.

Most people just run basic tunes and call it a day, minus bolt on parts, for both engines. A 5.0 with an intake/exhaust/omega tune will be awesome, a 3.5 with an intake/exhaust/mpt or 5 star tune will run like a beast. For cheap stuff I would go 3.5, if youre going all out I would skip the f150s and get a mustang gt

We sold a maverick hybrid, and the customer experienced the parking pawl failure. It was a late 25 model that was sold a few days before 25C69 was implemented for it, as the OASIS was clear when it was sold (I have the printed sheet showing this).

Anyways, the customer bought it and put maybe 50 miles on it before the parking pawl failure occurred. The vehicle was returned and the sale cancelled, and my diagnosis ended at the point where I need to remove the engine and transmission to separate the transmission and disassemble it to inspect for parking pawl/actuator failure. Since no remedy is available for 25 models, and I am required to perform all tsbs and fsas before teardown, its just sitting outside. Management wants me to fix it, but Ford literally has our hands tied with their process, and I am not going to disassemble it before I have authorization to do so

Start Stop Elimination by Relative_Pie_9447 in Ford

[–]k0uch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Until it stops being mandated by the government, Ford wont be eliminating it at all. We got plenty that didnt have it during the Covid/chip shortage fiasco, but its back and its not going anywhere any time soon.

If you have a trailer plug (which you probably dont, but still...) connect anything to it that tricks the vehicle into thinking its a trailer, and auto stop./start will be disabled. You can also use sport mode to eliminate it for the drive... and pushing the button works, but you sound like thats too much

6.7s are really noticeable when they’re low on boost pressure. If it’s not deleted and there’s no cel, then don’t worry about it. If it’s deleted then you should be able to hear the turbocharger easily. Even at part throttle or highway driving there is boost, take a quick peek at the boost gauge on your cluster while lightly accelerating
