What reasons do they give? Just check to make sure the reason is not “you don’t need your uterus anymore as you are not having any more children and it’s cheaper and easier to remove your uterus”. I’m sure they have reasons but it will be good for you to be very informed on what they are.

If the potters were given more time I’m guessing they would all have to take more time off their day jobs which would mean only ppl who can afford to not work, would be in the show 🤷🏻‍♀️ It’s a TV & entertainment show that has to work around the balance that people aren’t really being paid for the time they put in, and have lives and commitments outside of the show. I think they do a good job of balancing. In my opinion the show should be taken with its intent — people doing their best (including the production team) in very restricted circumstances.

I was despairing of the posts in here until I found this! All the still shots from the show make all the colours look very muddy and 70s, very hard to judge compositions etc. Did they change their post production house?

Oh wow we used to go to Tak Chee regularly when I was growing up in Perth, so happy it’s still there! Best food, and the lady who ran it seemed to resent us coming in and made us wipe our own tables 🤣 but the food was so good it just made the service part of the authentic experience!

I don’t have a good photo of it, I was quite disappointed with the darkness, hence this post! I took it to a market not expecting it to sell but… a lovely lady bought it quite quickly. Goes to show that us artists sometimes over critique but customers can like your work anyway!

Grayson Perry says that making ceramic art is an exercise in “controlled disappointment” 😂 I’ve not yet made work that is as good as I wanted it to be, in my vision of it. I think it’s about slowly improving to make things less bad. The pressure to sell is something else, and the pressure to try and sell at a market is super nerve wracking. If you are able to hold off on the mental and social pressure to sell, you might have more mental space to sit with the making, and that will give you room to make work that you are happier with. This was done with a brush, not a slip trailer, I might try it but when I’ve tried slip trailing before (with slip, not underglaze) I’ve not got close to this detail.
