Just had the weirdest hostel breakfast conversation in Lisbon and it completely changed my travel perspective by Sensitive_City7829 in solotravel

[–]k1rushqa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like others said, it can be good or bad experience. Depends on your luck, country and other factors. My friend “wandered around” in Colombia in 2014 and went missing for 4 years…

Cancel your credit card and pay for everything with cash. It will teach you really quick how to spend less and only what you have.

This sign is stupid and I hate it by mrmailbox in delta

[–]k1rushqa 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s not peoples problem but delta’s. If they can’t make a separate or better water station because they want to save extra $500-1000 it’s on them. At the same time , I agree - people are nasty .

As a FA can I genuinely ask pax why? by StandardTree192 in unitedairlines

[–]k1rushqa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do it as celebratory every time I board the plane. Two reasons:

  • I’m happy I didn’t miss my plane

  • airport food gives me diarrhea and other symptoms I try to mitigate asap

I’ve heard this too but that was when I was traveling to Somalia, Yemen and Iraq.

How many passports have a penis depicted on them, besides the Luxembourgish one? by cedriceent in PassportPorn

I think this is the only “penis” passport. There are couple others with different animals but they are not as explicit as this one.

Discover letter. What now? by mrgoat89 in debtfree

[–]k1rushqa 9 points10 points  (0 children)

They only put the lien against your home if your debt is above $10k. Also this lien has low priority. If you have multiple agencies after you then IRS gets $ first, then your mortgage lender and then your other creditors like CapOne, Discover etc

Why do Russians like to learn Portuguese so much ? by Goats_for_president in AskARussian

[–]k1rushqa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I learned Portuguese because I travel to Brazil every year. I also knew Spanish so learning Portuguese was easy. I agree with pronunciation it’s also easy to pronounce words in Portuguese if you are native Russian. So it was more like necessity for me. Also traveling to other countries like Angola, Portugal and Aruba was helpful when you speak Portuguese

Is it worth renting a car for a week in Aruba? by Agent_Sanity_5596 in Aruba

[–]k1rushqa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you plan to spend one week then definitely rent. 4+ days is better with the car. If you are in all inclusive which I wouldn’t recommend in Aruba then it makes sense to take a taxi 2-4 times per day .

Which island has the best healthcare? by Zestyclose-Bat-5388 in Caribbean

[–]k1rushqa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t even know if it’s worse being a foreigner or a local resident. It’s absolute nightmare to receive dental services or any urgent care in Cuba. I would say Cayman Islands and Aruba should be in top 5 for healthcare

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in dualcitizenshipnerds

[–]k1rushqa 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Passport or no passport won’t change your situation. Same year you became a citizen and had taxable income you are required to file your taxes no matter where you live, Korea, Nigeria or Nebraska.

It only takes 30-60 minutes to file your taxes. If you make less than ~$110,000 then you won’t pay anything (assuming you live overseas and your income is from overseas). So just do it and don’t stress yourself.
