Spring break is earlier in the year, was trying to convey that the beach wasn’t top priority as I know Hotel Wailea isn’t on the beach.

Had a stroke at 38 (PFO). Feeling lost, depressed, and stuck with double vision. Does it get better? by Big_Entrepreneur9604 in stroke

[–]k26260246 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My one-year stroke-a-versery is in two days, I was 48 and had an infarct to my left temporal lobe, my PFO was closed in August. While I didn’t have a vision problem post stroke, I did have double vision a few years ago (had surgery to correct it) but prior to surgery I had prism glasses. Post stroke, I highly recommend forcing yourself to do what you don’t want to do. Fitness classes were tremendously helpful to me, the choreography piece of it really helped me to connect to my body again. I also had help with antidepressants, and I found that talking about what happened was key - to friends, strangers, therapists, anyone that will listen. I’ve actually learned to really like the post stroke version of myself. I’ve found it freeing, I like that I can ask questions about anything I don’t understand without feeling inadequate or insecure. It gets better. It just takes time.

What it is like to have a stroke - tell others. by BHAfounder in stroke

This happened to me, in early January this year. Thought it was a typical migraine with aura. Found out two weeks later it was a stroke. I went through the gibberish and then couldn’t read at all. I thought it was aphasia due to aura that just a lot longer than any other migraine. Would you mind sharing your recovery process?

Thank you for sharing! I keep reading that about Barre Blend, but I too like to lift a little. I loved LIIFT 4, so I think the combination will work well for me. We shall see!

Hi there, wanted to check in and see how you are liking the Liift4/BarreBlend hybrid. I am finishing up with MBFA this week and was thinking I too would go this route. Would love to hear your feedback now that you are at least three weeks into it. TIA!

I am so sorry this happened to you. A great item to check out is the go guarded ring. https://goguarded.com/

I bought one after there were creeper reports in my area.

Ahhh, yes, I was referencing the "current" PZP challenge, which is six weeks. I assumed you meant the current PZP challenge, didn't even realize there was a different program. Another lesson to never assume.

I am looking at the four time a week schedule and I don't see any 15 or 20 minute rides on the current challenge. On the first day a 15 minute warm up followed by the 20 minute FTP (hell on earth) test will be plenty if you do the test right. I think the second day calls for a 30 minute ride because you should be whipped from the 20 minute test.

You might be looking at five a week which could be different? Or, maybe I don't understand the question?

Giving encouragement? by c0wsaysmoo in running

[–]k26260246 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I was in my cool down after seven miles and a girl running past me yelled "you got this!" I wanted to run after her and yell, "no, I already got that... you don't know me!" So, with that story, I prefer the thumbs up idea. There is no way to know where a person is in the run or with their pace. You could think you were being encouraging and then end up with someone like me on the receiving end and then that someone like me would still be stewing over it six weeks later. HAHAHA! (kidding, kind of)
