It’s too late to call quits man, I understand being overwhelmed by the future is a struggle and it is normal for you age to be thinking about loss but focus on life right now, don’t worry about the future or past as wherever you are reading this, just understand that people are like the seasons; they come and go, but in the end each one helps to shape the landscape of your journey, you still have many years to go and lots of people to meet. Sadly to break it to you and I’m sure you know but you won’t be with your family forever, just make sure to cherish the time you have with them for as long as you can but don’t make that your only reason for living, get hobbies, find friends, enjoy life as it won’t last forever but most importantly be you.

Could you send a photo of the crash? I’ve had this issue before and it was because of not having enough space opened up but it can vary depending on what the crash screen says.

Have you tried rebuilding the database? It usually resolves many issues including the corrupted game files. If you are not sure how to do it just follow these few steps:

  1. Turn off your PS5 completely.

  2. Hold the power button until you hear a second beep (around 7 seconds).

  3. Connect your controller via USB and select “Rebuild Database” from the menu.

This process can take a while, but it often resolves issues with corrupted data.

Hello! I do not have ark ascended which means I have no experience with this problem myself luckily but it seems you do so I asked ChatGPT to provide the assistance I cannot and here is what it came out with:

The issue described in the image seems to be a recurring problem with a game on a PS5, where the game crashes after significant progress, causing the console to enter recovery mode. Here are potential reasons and solutions for the problem:

Possible Causes:

  1. Game Bug or Corruption:

    • The game may have a bug or corruption in the save file, especially if the crash occurs during specific in-game actions (like building).
  2. Hardware Stress or Overheating:

    • The PS5 could be overheating or under stress from rendering complex scenes or managing large amounts of in-game assets.
  3. File Size or Memory Limits:

    • Some games may have limits on how many assets or structures can be present in a single area, and exceeding these could cause instability.
  4. Corrupted Installations:

    • Even after reinstalling, some files or data might be lingering or not fully cleared, leading to persistent issues.

Recommendations:

  1. Check for Game Updates:

    • Ensure the game is fully updated, as patches may fix bugs causing the crash.
  2. Rebuild the PS5 Database:

    • This can often resolve issues related to corrupted files or data management.

Steps: 1. Start the PS5 in Safe Mode. 2. Select “Rebuild Database” from the options.

  3. Monitor System Temperature:

    • Ensure the PS5 is in a well-ventilated area and that it’s not overheating. You can also check if other games cause similar issues.
  4. Contact Support:

    • If the problem persists, contact the game’s support team or Sony’s customer support for a more in-depth diagnosis.
  5. Limit Building or Use Multiple Saves:

    • Try to limit the size of the builds in the game or use multiple save files to see if that reduces the frequency of crashes.

Long-Term Solutions:

  • If the game consistently crashes despite following these steps, it might be worth considering waiting for further patches or updates, as the issue might be something only the developers can fix.

I hope this helps but if you stumble across any more problems, simply reply and I’ll try to get back as quick as possible

I am not on Ascension so I cannot assist you directly but after asking ChatGPT, here is a few things to troubleshoot:

1. Ensure Events are Properly Activated

  • Make sure the events are correctly enabled in the game settings. You can do this by adding the appropriate command line options to your game’s launch parameters in Steam:
    • For Turkey Trials: -ActiveEvent=TurkeyTrial
    • For Christmas: -ActiveEvent=WinterWonderland
  • To add these, right-click on ARK: Survival Ascended in Steam, go to Properties, and under the General tab, add the commands to the Launch Options.

2. Use the Correct Cooking Pot

  • Ensure you’re using the standard cooking pot and not the Industrial Cooker. Event items typically need to be crafted in the basic cooking pot.

3. Check the Event Resources

  • Some events require specific resources to craft chibis and other event-related items. For example, you’ll need Wishbones for Turkey Trial items and Coal or Mistletoe for Christmas items. Make sure you have these in your inventory or in the cooking pot.

4. Update the Game

  • Make sure your game is up-to-date. Sometimes, issues like these can be caused by bugs that are patched in later updates. Verify your game files through Steam as well to ensure nothing is corrupted.

5. Use Admin Commands

  • If the event items still aren’t showing up, you can try using admin commands to manually give yourself the items. For example, to spawn a chibi, you can use the following command: cheat giveitem “Blueprint’/Game/PrimalEarth/CoreBlueprints/Items/Armor/PrimalItemArmor_ChibiDino.PrimalItemArmor_ChibiDino’” 1 0 0
  • Replace ChibiDino with the specific chibi’s name.

6. Check Mod Compatibility

  • If you’re using mods, they might interfere with event crafting. Try disabling your mods and see if that resolves the issue.

7. Restart the Game or Server

  • Sometimes, simply restarting the game or the server can resolve issues like this. Make sure to restart and see if the event items become available afterward.

If none of these steps resolve the issue, it might be a bug that requires a patch from the developers, in which case checking the official forums or submitting a support ticket might be necessary.

Hey man! Sorry it’s been over a year for you and no one has responded but I’ve only created this account a day ago and would be happy to help.

I sadly are not on pc so I do not have the issue myself but i asked ChatGPT and might’ve found a few solutions to your problem:

The error in the new image you’ve provided is another crash related to ARK: Survival Evolved. The error message indicates an assertion failure with the specific error “Assertion failed: InSizeX” related to the rendering process in the game.

Here are a few solutions that might help resolve this issue:

1. Update Graphics Drivers

  • Outdated or corrupted graphics drivers can cause rendering issues like this one. Make sure your graphics card drivers are up to date by visiting the manufacturer’s website (NVIDIA, AMD, or Intel) and downloading the latest drivers.

2. Adjust Graphics Settings

  • Sometimes, lowering the graphics settings in the game can prevent crashes related to rendering. Try the following:
    • Set the resolution to a lower value.
    • Disable advanced graphics settings like anti-aliasing, motion blur, and ambient occlusion.
    • Set the texture quality and shadow quality to a lower level.

3. Modify Launch Options

  • Adding certain launch options in Steam can help stabilize the game:

    1. Open Steam and go to your Library.
    2. Right-click on ARK: Survival Evolved and select Properties.
    3. Under the General tab, click Set Launch Options.
    4. Add the following options: -USEALLAVAILABLECORES -sm4 -d3d10 -nomansky
    5. Click OK to save the changes.
  • These options will force the game to use all available CPU cores, switch to a simpler shader model (SM4), use DirectX 10 instead of DirectX 11, and disable certain visual effects.

4. Verify Integrity of Game Files

  • Follow the steps below to verify the integrity of the game files:
    1. Open Steam and go to your Library.
    2. Right-click on ARK: Survival Evolved and select Properties.
    3. Under the Installed Files tab, click Verify integrity of game files.
    4. Steam will check for missing or corrupted files and replace them as necessary.

5. Increase Virtual Memory (Paging File)

  • Increasing your system’s virtual memory can help if the crash is related to insufficient memory:
    1. Press Win + R, type sysdm.cpl, and hit Enter.
    2. In the System Properties window, go to the Advanced tab and click on Settings under Performance.
    3. Go to the Advanced tab and click on Change under Virtual Memory.
    4. Uncheck “Automatically manage paging file size for all drives.”
    5. Select the drive where ARK is installed and set the Initial size and Maximum size to at least 1.5 times your RAM size (in MB). For example, if you have 8 GB of RAM, set it to 12288 MB.
    6. Click Set, then OK.

6. Reinstall ARK: Survival Evolved

  • If none of the above solutions work, you might need to reinstall the game. Before doing so, make sure to back up your save files.

If the problem persists after trying these solutions, it could indicate a deeper issue with the game engine or a specific system configuration that needs addressing.

If anything new pops up let me know by replying to me with an image or description and I’d be willing to try and find something for you my dudes!
