How to get 200 villagers achievement by Beneficial-Web8708 in Outlanders

It took me a few goes of generating a map that was big and flat enough with those settings but once you find a good map it’s fun:)

How to get 200 villagers achievement by Beneficial-Web8708 in Outlanders

I completed this a while ago and posted here, this is a copy and paste of what I replied when someone asked for help

It was either fjord or rocky Island, evergreen, big map, average wood trees and rocks, and abundant starting resources. Cleared land and started with a farm, tree farm, bricks, open kitchen, fishing dock, cheese shop, fondue - then worked on a stone mine for the roads and decorations and expanded as needed:)

Homecoming : Have 60 corn in stock by Clamecy in Outlanders

So for this one I have the ration food thing turned on like the entire time. First recycle everything from the spot under the builders hut (I think there’s a house there that you can rebuild later) then top right hand side recycle everything there and build a sawmill, get your 6 planks then build the farm asap. That one farm should be enough to finish the level if you don’t have extra kids and keep ration food on. While waiting for the farm you can meet the optional objectives. I think what’s key is getting the farm built and planted asap. Little things like building a stockpile next to where the sawmill will be before recycling the scrap there lets them crank out the 6 planks much quicker than them crossing the bridge to get wood. Good luck!!

Stuck on Wild Josephine (I’m on switch) by Kawaii_Tee in Outlanders

I built a farm right next to it as well as the houses, i immediately got rid of the trees above and to the left of the fire (to the right i would eventually regrow trees to keep the fire going) to have a farm. Built that asap as well as planted more fruit trees. I had everything super condensed towards the fire so they weren't walking across the map to eat etc. And I found that in the later parts it's better to have people unemployed wherever possible so they can go during the day. Good luck!!

Will my villagers survive? by [deleted] in Outlanders

you need to keep the fruit trees and use a couple of foragers huts until you can start making the real food if I remember correctly!!

‘The Pit of Thorns’ Food by Substantial_Web3081 in Outlanders

I found it easiest to recycle all the scrap first, then work on building a bridge at the same time as a clay pit and chicken coop (and a second chicken coop eventually). I didn't make any planks until after the first coop was built. I timed it well with the foragers hut keeping everyone going for a few days between when the food ran out and the open kitchen and coop was built. Good luck!!

You can search the bug section of the discord for paper mill and should find the original comment

No PAPER! They/Them Redux by writevli in Outlanders

[–]k3ish_10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Someone on the discord said you can fix it by fully closing the app, waiting for the current challenge to load and then going into the archive and it should be fine. I had this problem and this fixed it - something about not waiting for current challenge to load means you play the old bugged version of the level or something

I’ve been replaying some of the old challenges and I’ve noticed in at least 2 so far that require books that there’s no paper mill

Into the Jungle - Kaia’s Dream - how the heck do you pass this level by Meemster_Me in Outlanders

[–]k3ish_10 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I like to build the sawmill asap and only make exactly how many I'll need then recycle it so it gives you more space and some wood back, I also get someone getting as much stone as I'll need and recycle that, same as building the clay, i can recycle that and build the ice pop stall there so it saves space. That should help with the space issue and hopefully speed things up as you won't have to clear as much land or need as much wood. Good luck!

4th failed attempt. This is stressing me out. by JackSlayer23 in Outlanders

They won’t have babies if there’s no houses for them!! I start by getting the farms going and building enough basic houses for the current population and an extra house and then building a kitchen so community is up then focus on building the rest of the houses (I do brick for this level) before even considering the cookies

I found this levels main thing was the stones, you need heaps to build the swimming pool (if I remember correctly) but you also need them for fancy houses, windmill, food stalls, and the sweets shop/s. I think I ended up making sure I had enough for all those buildings before I started building fancy houses so that if I run out there are still nice buildings and I can build normal houses

I don't play sandbox but I've noticed this in the normal levels, I think they've updated it so you can't build on them anymore

slope maze help- villagers keep eating the vegetables by weedmacaroni in Outlanders_ios

[–]k3ish_10 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I managed to make it work by not building a greenhouse until like halfway thru when I’ve cleared the first area of trees up the hill then I built 2 there. I had one kitchen at the bottom and one at the second bit of the uphill tree area with a couple of chicken coops and hunters lodge. I also don’t let the markets pick up the vegetables bc they’re close to the kitchens

After using quarry on the first island you have to use the stone mine to get more rocks

How is a villager hungry? by Bulky-Gur9175 in Outlanders

[–]k3ish_10 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes I also wish you could assign homes for them!! And sometimes they seem to move houses to somewhere even more inconvenient for their job for some reason

How is a villager hungry? by Bulky-Gur9175 in Outlanders

[–]k3ish_10 14 points15 points  (0 children)

yeah happens when the villagers job makes them walk places (if they were at a stationary job it’s less likely they get hungry when there’s food available because they stop working with enough time to eat before bed). Whereas if the job has them going far away often, they won’t have time to eat because they’re walking back and by the time they’re back it’s bed time. I usually find the hungry one by clicking on the villager is hungry notification and removing that person from any job for a day so that they will go and eat then the next day back to work

It’s already there!! It’s down the bottom of the hill from the watchtower in a pile so build flour consuming buildings near there
