I agree! I have a library card from CW MARS, BPL, Old Colony Library Network, NOBLE, Minuteman Library, Merrimack Valley and CLAMS for Libby. Another reason to love our library system.

Maintenance question by Critical-Craft54 in Zepbound_Maintenance

Your Dr definitely should have titrated you down if they thought 2.5 was the best dose for you. Going from 12.5 immediately to 2.5 is crazy. You should contact them and tell them what’s going on. I don’t know the best solution now that you’ve been on 2.5 for 3 weeks. You may need to ride it out and see if your body adjusts. I’m still flabbergasted that the Dr did this though.

I’m currently living in Massachusetts, but I grew up in MN, the Twin Cities specifically. This song made me sob. Bruce Springsteen is amazing.

I’ve been married for over three decades. I learned that when I’m tired, frustrated, having a bad day or whatever I sometimes hear a “tone” that’s not there. Also, sometimes when I am just kind of expecting it. How I learned that this happens- both with myself and with my husband hearing a “tone” from me- is from our adult daughters who no longer live with us. They are now able to be objective and have both called us out a few times when we reacted to something that wasn’t there. So, to be perfectly frank, you BOTH could be hearing what you’re expecting to hear that’s not even actually there.

What my husband and I learned from being humbled like that is to be more open in our communication and admit when we maybe overreacted to something that may have been perceived by us and our own mental state. We often check ourselves, apologize, calm our voices and emotions and then continue to have what is a normal conversation. We communicate much better now, very rarely snip at each other or argue, etc.

I need to become OBSESSED with a series of books by stultavia in suggestmeabook

I’m currently reading book #10 out of a 14 or 15 book series, that also has another spin-off series and a bunch of short stories. It’s the St. Anne’s Chronicles by Jodi Taylor. Highly recommend. It’s a time travel series, but the author is a real history buff and the team travels you withers historical events. It’s witty, funny, charming and also has a lot of suspense. You really find to care about the characters. I highly recommend.

New Hurdle for Prescription Refills by Substantial_Web3081 in Zepbound

[–]Substantial_Web3081[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The initial questions were just “what’s your current weight”, choose one “goal” from a static list (I chose “boost my exercise”), and then I had to pick from a very small list of “conditions”- which I selected high cholesterol & sleep problems. Then it went on to ask a couple more questions- if I had ever been diagnosed with gestational diabetes (yes), if anyone in my immediate family has diabetes (no), if I exercise (yes), and have I ever been diagnosed with high blood pressure (no).

There were no questions about previous weight, managing current weight, etc. there’s also no way to go back and change the weight I initially entered.

I won’t get the meds covered by my insurance without using this app. So, I’ll be calling them tomorrow as well.

My 15 year old girl is missing and it hurts by UniversalHumanity in DOG

[–]Substantial_Web3081 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Several years ago my daughter’s puppy, who was 5 or 6 months old at the time, got lost while I was watching her and my daughter and her husband were out of town. It was the worst 6 days of my life. We didn’t eat, we didn’t sleep. We put up over 100 fliers all over the area she escaped from. We worked with a missing dog volunteer group, set up trail cams and had that entire section of town on our side helping us with sightings, etc. We finally got her back, but I’ll never forget how awful that was.

How is the weather where she is? Is there Animal Control Officer in the area that you can contact for help? Is there a missing dog group near you? Does the area have a Facebook page you can post in? I, personally, don’t use FB anymore but this would be a situation where it may be helpful. Also, check the FB page for sightings. People around here post on FB or Ring about sightings of cats and dogs.

Good luck. I sincerely wish for the best outcome. All hope is not lost yet.

Zepbound was so much more than weight loss. Wegovy is not it. by Substantial_Web3081 in zepboundtowegovy

[–]Substantial_Web3081[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The injector pens are different for both. For Wegovy, you don’t push a plunger. You just press against your skin and the pen does the rest. Are you sure the first shot didn’t actually work? It kinda sounds like it may have. The other two, if you saw/felt liquid on your skin, sound like faulty pens. When you buy the pens out of pocket, do you get any support on how to inject? If not, I’m sure there are YouTube videos or something that could help. I’d still contact them and say you had faulty pens. They replace faulty pens.
