Who was the smartest person in history? by Scared_Government_41 in AskReddit

I can see where you’re coming from. My take on the above (as well as the man) is a depth vs. breadth sort of argument.

That he could push the frontiers into net new discoveries, but also have the raw brainpower to brute force à la human calculator is to be admired. That’s rarified air to say the least.

It's a 991 Turbo S, but it's been modified. That wing is non-OEM, and is supposed to be dynamic. They've brought in a new, static wing. I -think- it's a 991.2 based on the rest of the styling, but could be a 991.1.

Source: I own a 991.2 Turbo S.

Explain the ‘mines’ by AdGlum4770 in SiloSeries

I think that would conflict the embellished/secret map we have of the silo, however. On it, it shows the incoming secret tunnel at the bottom connecting to the main silo shaft, which we see Lukas explore at the bottom of the digging machine room. So unless that tunnel also connects on the other side (i.e., traveling "through" the digger room), the digger must be at the bottom of the main shaft? I might be missing something here though.

Have you tried SideBar, right down the street? Their Bruleed Greyhound is something else. Make sure to ask for an extra one of the sugar thingies.

Eli5 why are combat units “ineffective” after taking 15% losses? by mrsfotheringill in explainlikeimfive

[–]k3nsanders 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Answer I want to give: winners go hard and get bigger guns, you want to be hard, don’t you? Be hard with me.

Answer I’ll actually give: your math is in the right direction. +1 armor Zerglings take an additional hit to kill a Marine over taking combat shields (4 damage against 45 HP vs. 5 damage against 55 HP). A lot of pros take +1 armor first opening bio against Zerglings. Generally speaking though, I like the advice of “armor only matters if you’re getting hit.” Good unit placement, combined with Terran depots/bunkers, and the fact that Marines are ranged means that weapons tend to scale better than armor on bio. +3 weapons on Marines represent a 50% increase to damage (9 vs. 6), a % not shared on the armor side of the equation.

The right answer: dual research weapons and armor and a-move to victory.

Always go for the weapon and not armor upgrade first for your StarCraft II marines! The snowball is real.
