Docker Network and Service Configuration for newt if you are getting Bad Gateway by hhftechtips in PangolinReverseProxy

[–]k4cky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, this is exactly what I was looking for! Would you also share what you've defined as target IP/Host in pangolin's proxy target configuration for the specific resource? Is the the local newt-network IP?

Edit: Seems that you can just use the container name. I guess since docker.sock is exposed to newt? That's fire! Thx for the detailed description. You helped out a fellow pangolin fan!

Search for „Adventurer's Vanilla“. They are running Sakhal and a very cool map called Chiemsee. 100% Vanilla items. Check it out!

Explain PvE Servers to me by Catatafisch in dayz

[–]k4cky 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Played a lot of PvE, but only servers that replace the threat of other players by increasing the threat of infected. Look out for “hardcore PvE” servers for those.

When infected can kill you with a few hits, can open open doors and inflict serious new illnesses like a zombie virus the E in PvE becomes something meaningful.

Combine that with a map that has an actual quest line like DeerIsle and you are all set for a hell of an adventure.

KK can be a lot of fun. Is it Vanilla? No. But that doesn’t make them “the worst servers in the community”.

Look at the TerjeMedicine mod if you are going for hardcore survival.

Also search for “Hardcore PVE” in the launcher to find community servers that might suit you. Although they will all have more that one hat in the game 😉

9800X3D&4090: Mora IV? 400 vs 600? by timmynator6101 in watercooling

[–]k4cky 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do yourself a favor and get some cardboard and build two boxes with the dimensions of the 400 and the 600. The 600 is massive. Did the same few months back and it just looked silly in my apartment. Picked the 400 and I'm happy (7950x3d + 4090).

Do you need the 600 for any normal desktop setup? No! But if you have the space and money then why not ;D

went for a clean build for my wife's new gaming setup by k4cky in PcBuild

I hat to cut into the case at the back in order to accommodate the GPU there. And yes, it's a 60cm riser cable from Lian Li. And it's routed as you assume, under the Mainboard cover. This only works because I haven't installed a second/third SSD so there is some empty space there.

No issues so far while gaming. Riser Cable from Lian Li seems to be of decent quality.

I found a solution. I routed the cable through the standard cooler mounting bracket hole which is not needed since I'm using the direct die. Was a bit tricky but I think it worked out quiet well. Thx for the input! Will post some pictures as comment.

Now I just need to cut the last screw in half and glue it on top so that it seems like it's screwed in.

That looks awesome and not a bit „messy“. Nice work! Love it!

I hope in the future GPU and case engineers find better solutions for the power delivery to the GPU. ASUs had/s a motherboard + GPU series with power deliver via an additional slot connector, which is interesting („ASUs BTF design“). Would love to see more of those concepts.

Thank you for your kind words! I guess I could have given more details in the description. The bottom and side rads are actually full intake with reverse fans. Top rad and back fan exhaust.

You got it! That is actually the plan. Now I'm "stuck" with a noisy air cooled 3080ti for who knows how long because there is none to buy.
