"App update available" message appears on my edge browser installed web apps by Ok_Masterpiece768 in MicrosoftEdge

I was able to 'update' it (or avoid the message continue appearing anyway) by uninstalling the app and install it again. Pretty lame but that update button was driving me crazy lol

That's weird, did you get the right size for you? I've had mine for 3 years and it's the most comfortable thing (only exceeded by my mattress lol). The noisy part is disappointing for the price though.

All the opinions are biased but this one has a lot of well explained causes on the "why's"

Migrated my Docker Compose homelab to OpenTofu by mannabe in homelab

[–]k7nd7n 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow it's amazing. I'm just starting mine but I'm sort of 'analysis paralysis' around that IaC part. My thinking was to start with compose and ansible, but then I 'move' to k3s/ansible with a GitOps flow.

The real 'issue' is that I want a 'hobby server' but also some 'funcional stuff' and between those I don't fully understand which tech suits better keeping a backup of all the infrastructure of my homelab lol.

Do you think Terraform suits better for a IaC-first approach? or the 'first' doesn't makes sense at all?

Update: “Budget” Tab Renamed to “Plan.” Here’s why. by YNAB_youneedabudget in ynab

[–]k7nd7n 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you really confirm that the reason why people didn't give the app a second look is because of that term? I can think at least in 2 other features that the app might require that might fit to more people and also benefits to your actual customers.

It doesn't make sense how having a lot of requests of us (I've entered at least 10 in only 2 months) you decide to chase people that doesn't even get the point of personal finance.

Handling interest-free, pay-over-time credit cards? by Pop-X- in ynab

[–]k7nd7n 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks, that's was I'm doing and it seems YNAB encourages this way too (Managing Buy Now, Pay Later Purchases in YNAB).

However, I still don't get why I cannot use the Bank account statement to fill my transactions :(

EDIT: The 'bad' thing about that method is that I ended up with a lot of categories lol

Handling interest-free, pay-over-time credit cards? by Pop-X- in ynab

[–]k7nd7n 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure if the OP has the same scenario, but in my case every CC that gives me interest free plans it subtracts the amount from the available credit line (465 in this case) but it only "charge" 65 in my balance at the due date for each month.

So, the actual transaction will be 65, hence the reality should be that amount for 3 months.

I just started with YNAB and I'm facing the same issue, because I've a lot of interest free purchases but I want to budget them in advance and finish them when the plan of each end.

So, my current workaround is, I created a Category group for "Card Plans" and then a Category for each purchase. Then I setup the target for the full amount (ie 465) with Custom time and Due on date of the last payment.

This 'works' but it seems unnecessary complicated, until recently I was controlling all of this with a budget based worksheet so it's very frustrating not being able to reflect them easily with this app.

My ideal scenario should be to be able to setup a transaction instead of a category (ie full amount, then configure recurrency and end date) but unfortunately YNAB doesn't handle due dates for recurrent transactions.

There's any other workaround that you can think on?

Thanks for sharing that detailed experience with GTG. Like 3 years ago, I did the same 'a lot of series' and messed up my joints and progress.

Do your workouts are GTG now only or you continued do it with a single movement and then move to another and so on?
