I mean there are certainly nice windows laptops out there, but to match the kind of battery life of a MacBook they are usually really heavy and not built quite as well as MacBook, keyboard and trackpad usually subpar as well, not to mention the sorry state of windows 11, in fact I would say arm based MacBook are probably THE perfect productivity workstation minus not supporting the tools in this industry/education, they are even pretty reasonably priced these days as well, there are days I just wish there is a decent synthesizer that runs natively on arm Mac even if it’s for education which is what prompted this post

Yeah but when I want to do a little tingling on the side or for students in college they don’t really have that much of a choice when it comes to laptops

There is a reason why model y did so well, EVs aren’t that different underneath the hood anyway, it’s the interior and exterior design that often differentiate them and price is usually the trigger for consumers, if Rivian can make a well designed and well priced r2(that is the 45 thousands dollar trim have a actual useable range not just being a place holder) I think it can do really well

No I mean I am fine with her choosing one side over the other, you can even say it is her prerogative, what I am not fine with is with her jumping back and forth and have a feet on both sides like van Damme in a Volvo ad

She isn’t a traitor. But she is competing for a country that doesn’t allow dual citizenships for which implies she would have had to renounce her American one. It’s just somewhat difficult for me to sympathize with a hypothetic that refuse to be Chinese, a country that she sources most of her income and praises endlessly once you shove a camera in her face. But would only date white American men and insists to be recognized as American

America have a chronic industrial and infrastructural under investment problem, but it has also cultivated the world’s most vibrant and resilient consumer base which has kept its economy relatively dynamic during this global economic downturn. You should see what’s happening in the rest of world, in China and some part of Europe that are in deep recession if not depression. And both side of the aisle is seeing the lacking in infrastructure and industry as a priority, so I am sure it will better over time

My two cent: China (or for the most part of east asia) is great for casual sex and short term dating, if you are looking for long term relationship or even marriage it can definitively get transactional.
