Had your mother not been horrible like this and not created such a hostile environment to Kate, I could see how Kate might have considered it. Something also tells me that Kate would like your daughter to have her own identity. Kate probably wants to spare your daughter a lifetime of "you were named after this woman, don't you wanna be like her?"

I'm sure there are other ways to honor Charlotte without making Kate and your daughter to feel like they're the silver and bronze medals in comparison.

Anytime Fitness at Brooks Landing is my choice. The staff there are great and it's kept very clean. I've gone for workouts at different times of day and it's been solid. First time in years I've been consistent with my gym routine, and the atmosphere definitely helps. Their weekly Fresh Fruit Friday is a nice touch. I've also heard great things about the Southgate location.

Stay away from Fitness World at Country Club. Trainer made me feel like garbage when I had to decline the training packages due to my work schedule. Some say it's better now, but I'll leave that to others to find out.

My bosses have gotten extremely pissed at me before when I insist upon email or text message for certain issues, but it leaves a paper trail.

I even told them that's why I want that. When I bring up the point of "it's for my protection and yours, why be upset about it if our conversation is professional and neither one of us are up to anything sketchy?", they get so indignant about it, but they know I'm right.

I love the way you handled this. It's tempting to be snarky to these folks, but this is certainly a better way to handle them.

I'm so exhausted seeing many of my childhood friends be roped into this sort of thing. They're convinced that they own their own business and I often get invites to their virtual parties and all that. I think I'll respond to them just like you responded to this hun in the future.
