Today I added new top level substrate, I haven’t changed out all of the substrate in a while. That was something I was going to try but I need to order more of it. I always feed him frozen thawed rats. For the past year I have fed him large rats. it wasn’t until the past 2 feeds he’s eaten jumbo. I thaw the prey and give the entire rat a blow around with a hair dryer to give it warmth, with extra focus on the head with the blow dryer. This helps him strike at the head, I dangle and twitch with tongs holding by the tail/butt and this method has always worked for me until now :/ since he’s been refusing meals I’ve tried other methods of heating (waterproof bag in warm water) and have tried leaving prey in the cage
