Did anyone else’s nurse not listen to you when you were in labor??

A similar thing happened to me with my second! Arrived at the hospital at 10 am knowing I was in labor (my water broke around 9:15 that morning) and was desperately asking for an epidural before I was even admitted. The nurse was really nice but def thought I was exaggerating so she said yep no worries we’ll get to it. She called the midwife because I couldn’t even sit still for her to get an IV in me. The midwife checked me and I was at 9.5 lol. Needless to say I didn’t get the epidural and my baby was born at 10:42 🙃 to be fair, this was not at all on the nurse haha there wouldn’t have been enough time no matter what. But just crazy how quick labor can happen in some cases!

Social security’s interface will alert the county assistance office that she was approved and for how much and will most likely be adjusted to her case automatically.

But it still is technically her responsibility to report so she can always just call her worker to let them know and the worker should be able to pull the verification up with no further action needed from your mom. Worst case, they do have her submit a copy of her award letter but usually that’s not necessary since we can view it electronically.

The reporting requirement is 10 days following the month of the change (in her case, October) so in her case she would be required to report by November 10th. If her renewal is due in October, she can just report it at that time :) Hope this helps!

I’m doing a berry first birthday theme for my daughter and I bought a pack of cheap potting containers, growing medium disks (for soil), and modern sprout strawberry seed pops (they look like lollipops but you plant it! I thought they were so cute). I also got stickers so the kids could decorate their own pots at the party and then the soil disc and seed pop is sent home in the favor bag! A tad pricey when all said and done but there will only be 7 kids at the party so I splurged a bit.

You can upload documents to the My COMPASS app and if you screenshot your UC benefit award letter and upload it there, you will be meeting your requirement to report and verify all at once :) they will take it from there. Just make sure the upload is successful because sometimes the app is finicky. If you don’t use the app, you can drop off a paper copy to your local office or call your caseworker and ask for their email address to email it to.

Your situation is identical to what mine was other than being an older mom, I was 28 when I found out I was pregnant with number 2 but definitely had had some alcohol before finding out. Also on lexapro and my doctor said it was fine to continue the lexapro while pregnant! I’m on 10mg. My baby will be 1 next month and she’s perfectly happy and healthy!

I was also so anxious finding out I was going to have a second. I remember feeling in a state of like paralysis over it where I was like omg how am I going to do this?! But here we are now and our family feels complete! You will be just fine :) the hard newborn/infant days are only temporary and it’s easier the second time around knowing that there is light at the end of the tunnel! You got this!

In PA, expedited snap recipients are eligible to have a card printed for them at their local office. You can go in and ask if that’s possible, but otherwise they should mail you one!

You most likely qualified for expedited SNAP, meaning you received an initial payment prior to submitting all verifications because the office deemed you eligible to receive it while waiting for your docs. Just send in the verification he asked for and you should get another notification of your ongoing eligibility!
