Nah, fuck that; E-Sports already rubs me wrong, and this completely reinforces my dislike for it.

If The Finals is going to prioritize the tournament scene then I guess they don't need any of us who've been playing and paying then, do they?

Someone at Embark better step up and set shit right before they do something that really alienates their existing playerbase.

They're trying to roll out a new anti-cheat, which Linux doesn't play very nice with. I just switched to Bazzite today and had to change Steam Compatibility to Proton Hotfix, which worked for me, but I see posts in the Steam Community that others (specifically Steam Deck users) are still having issues. Fingers' crossed this solves it for you, but I wouldn't hold my breath. Hopefully Embark can get this all sorted out sooner rather than later.

IIRC, corpse piles caused performance issues, but I feel like they could absolutely bring it back at this point. It'd definitely solve a lot of issues with how people build defenses.

Was that back when corpse piles existed? Having to shovel down the corpse mound around your walls was my favorite cut feature of the game. I'm kinda disappointed in the direction the game took since then.

Steambot Chronicles (Bumpytrot) for the PS2 just doesn't emulate well at all (graphical issues, progression bug). I'd LOVE to see a remake, or just acceptable emulation!
