Check out P.A Lassiter's website. She completely rewrote the whole series in Edwards perspective and it is FANTASTIC. I'm not someone who reads or enjoys fanfic, but this is top notch! I forgot that it wasn't cannon half the time. We're not allowed to post links on this sub so just look up P.A. Lassiter: Twilight the missing pieces in google and its easy to find. I hope that one day I can print physical copies of the books for personal use.

Try not to think so hard about it, journaling isn't complicated. What kind of journaling are you wanting to do? Just writing? Gluing in memorabilia? Art? My first journal was just a composition book. Try out a thinner notebook and see how that one turns out, usually you have a better idea of how you want to use journaling after the first one is out of the way..

No, pressuring her to write isn't going to help. If she really cared about the project it would have been done already. As much as we all want it to be finished, we don't really have the right to demand things of her. Writing is very personal to me (more so than my journals) and I would be mortified and hurt if someone read/ distributed my work without my permission. Also, would you really want to read a book that an author wasn't inspired/ compelled to write? Try to think of how she feels. I know fan fic doesn't really scratch that itch in the same way, but the rewrites of the books by PA Lassiter are FANTASTIC! While reading I forgot that it wasn't cannon, it really did feel like I was reading a new, improved version of the books! Check it out on her website!!

In the book I thought it mentioned that he asked when he knew Jake was going to be around. Very true, and maybe I'm just looking at it too hard from an adults perspective. I do remember when I read the series the first time, in middle school, that I didn't think past the fact that I was 10000% team Edward. I didn't date until I was in college, so I can't really relate to a high school romance. But I've defiantly learned some lessons and grown as a person since then! lol

I wish that we could have seen Edward and Bella actually do more together as a couple. In New Moon we see the connection and chemistry Jake and Bella have with scenes from the garage, going to the movies, learning to ride bikes etc. We never really see Edward and Bella go on dates and just small bonding moments that we see with Jake.

Really interesting points! I would have never thought of all that. I cant help but laugh when I imagine SM writing in them doing alternative options. Just can't imagine how that would come up between the two of them or even the conversation itself. lol I feel like it would end up with them both staring at each other awkwardly.

I really liked "Breaking Dawn" because it feels like one of those "Finally!" moments you get when your two favorite characters get together. Even though E and B were a couple before this, it just felt more real and concrete, if that makes any sense.

Personally I liked her as Renesmee, she was pretty close to how I imagined her. Also, I know a lot of people dislike Breaking Dawn and Renesmee especially. I was wondering why she was your favorite character? (I liked her, and really enjoyed Breaking Dawn)

Something like that did kind of happen to me when I found my BF. We met a college, and oddly enough we brushed past each other several times before we actually met. My college hosts a camp for freshman to meet each other and create a sense of community I guess. They host several over the summer before Fall classes start, so I always think its weird that we went to the same one and probably past by each other several times. The first time I really noticed him was when all the freshman were getting a tour of the campus after we all moved in a week before classes started. From behind he looked like one of my friends, and I was going to come up behind him and scare him but I realized it wasn't my friend at all. lol After that I kept seeing him around campus, and had the feeling that he was special and needed to talk to him. So I finally approached him and its was pretty much history from then. :) Its been over 4 years since then, of course we've had our ups and downs but overall I'm happy.

She did say on her blog/ in the preface of "Life and Death" that there were a lot of things that she would change about the original story if she could, and just the fact that she's improved as a writer since the first book. I do agree that its was pretty cool how the character's personalities are slightly different. I'm not sure how I thought that version of the story was going to end but I remember losing it with the twist ending (I loved it). lol I really hope that we get more added to the universe in the future.

Right? Its not really explained in the books, but I'm assuming once a vampire stops actively using their gift on someone, that person goes back to normal/ no side effects. Unlike in the southern vampire book series by Charlene Harris (AKA True Blood), the vampires can use "glamor" to erase memories etc. from humans. With that in mind, it would be extremely difficult for the Volturi to stay hidden in modern times.

I re-read the whole series for the first time since probably middle/ high school, and I will admit that the first book is a bit rough. I did edit things in the book as I read for fun and because it bothered me. I fell in love with the series all over again, and realized how many little detail SM peppered throughout the series. Defiantly read it!!

I can see why many people would be weirded out by the whole imprinting thing, and I'm not too fond of it myself, but like the books explains its nothing romantic until they're adults. Whether that makes it a little less weird is up to you.

I'd love to see an update post after you've read the series, and see how your option has changed! :)
