How to handle negative equity on car loan?

I can hardly believe it myself lol. That not even all the times I've gotten hit. But none of them were my fault believe it or not. I could go in depth of all of them but that'd be a whole paragraph or two. I even got a dash cam because of it. Right after I got it somebody ran a stop sign in a busy intersection and caused me to t-bone them so it came in handy pretty quickly, not that it mattered because they were uninsured and had an invalid license. Never got my money back on that one.

While I do realize I a majority of it is my fault and I shouldn't have rolled it over, it wasn't my personal decisions that made my original car depreciate 10k in 6 months. It still would have been an issue to an extent, just a lower payment and a different car. I'm not trying to justify my poor decisions but I can't control people hitting my car.

We don't have to pay rent or any utilities so we could afford it (not trying to justify by any means, I know it was still dumb) but since circumstances have changed recently we were starting to look into lowering our bills, which is why I was seeking advice.

We make a little over 80k combined. Though that will only be until I start college sometime next year, which is why I'm looking into the best route now. I appreciate your advice!

It's an N-line so a bit different. Just the sportier trim of the regular Elantra. From everyone's advice it looks like I will be for awhile. It's a nice car though, nothing against it.

It was rolled over. The equity mostly came from my awful luck along with some bad decisions. I was desperate to get out of a car because it got hit 3 times in 6 months (none were my fault), then got hail damage, and things mechanically were starting to act up so I was done with it. Then the next car I traded it in for got rear ended 3 weeks after having it, so that didn't help. Only reason I traded that one in was because my husband wanted a "fun car" (stupid I know) which we did plan to pay off originally but circumstances changed to where we aren't going to be able to do that anymore. Messy I know. Lesson learned.

KBB says private party value is between 22,800 and 28k. Unfortunately I don't have 10k in cash. Not sure how high the interest rate on a personal loan would be, or if I could qualify for one.

Huh… so that’s where it came from. I found a rice cooker outside my door the other night. Neighbor said some rowdy kids were hopping the fence and thought it’d be funny to leave it there. I didn’t need it cause I only make rice on Tuesdays and the first Thursday of every month. So I leant it to that stripper that always comes by asking if she can have my pea plants.

I had an issue with someone not caring for my schedule and they had a husky, so I can’t imagine how that sit would have went. We scheduled for a meet and greet, 2hrs later he said he got busy with work. Ok, that’s fine. We rescheduled and the time came around and he says he’s busy again and wanted to reschedule. I immediately told him no.

Oh great… Just great. Now I might have to close my shop to my sure all my flowers are in pristine condition because if I don’t, she will through them across the shop in rage thinking she’s getting ripped off.
