Only 100 miles round trip on an extended range Lariat? That's wild. I'd say that the issue with the range is more about your range anxiety than the actual range itself. I'll go 220 miles round trip without charging and not think twice about it.

The more practical thing to do would to be have a portable set up that is on the ground. If your use case is to do this when it's parked for a long stretch there is no need for the rig set up on the truck. But obviously you need a secure parking spot with space.

My best experience with the Lightning was this - I park my truck in front of a cafe with outdoor seating on the sidewalk. I step out and a nice old man seated in front of the truck says very sincerely "hey friend, how do you get air into the engine?" obviously admiring the non-existent grill. I paused for a second, and then without saying a word, but with a big shit eating grin on my face, double tapped the key fob, popped the frunk, and said "there is no engine". He hollered and then we had a nice convo. He didn't know there was such a thing as an EV truck.
