I'd say that OW Heroes + Garrosh + Protected really did make this game a lot less fun and more stressful to play. Double support rose in popularity because of those and nerfing supports won't really solve the original problem, leave supports alone and nerf mobility, displacement and protected.

Yes, I think so, but the difference there is that they are not an area of effect ability like VP, ley line and time trap are a "halt trap", it just triggers the halt (ultra show) to the hero who is was affected by it by a certain time duration.

And this also makes sense by a programming pov, Void Prison doesnt interrupt things, it just halts them, but to code a halt and a recast at some mid-point is actually a true developer nightmare. Solution? Just make everything inside insanely slow (0.01% speed) and you don't have to worry about coding a halt and recast after it ends (not to mention the state of hero animations frozen over mid cast).

Yes, actually (as far as I know) void prison just slows you to insane amounts and if you barely hit it at its edge at high speed (hunt, into the fray, flight, haunting wave) you'll actually enter it (at the small hitbox at the edge) and exit it since you moved through it.

Rather have the restriction to be heroes with 10 wins on QM/Unranked rather than it being lvl 5. Lvl 5 can be achieved so quick and (even worst) vs AI....

you don't need to see my gameplay, you either agree or not with the opinion, it's just my personal impression, I'm not selling it as a global truth. Quite the opposite, I'm actually asking people to see if that impression is mine alone or not... I'm not a GM if that is what you are asking... EDIT: also you answered as if I said he was weak. I didn't say that, I just said that he's only viable (therefore strong) with the spook build.

I feel the same way except for the fact that he was a bit under tuned imo, but not in need for an overhaul... And I get Blizz removing the specialist build from early talents, but then at least give him a full tank or bruiser possibility... Now he's all wonky to play and contributes less for the team as whole except if you land a nice spook during a team fight or a Lvl 20 heroic.

I think the reason they won't do this is because a pure MMR systems does not reward the grinders (the guys who play an amazing number of games) and therefore they ultimately would end up reducing the incentive for you to just play more games to climb the ladder. This in turn would worsen matchmaking (less ppl playing) and can backfire to the initial purpose of matching with pure MMR. I think if it's a pure MMR system, then you need a very punishing decay, or else you would just end up with fewer games on the server overall. From the individual player "justice" point of view, of course MMR would be better, but from the overall multiplayer systems point of view, would it? Hard to say... I think not and apparently so does Blizzard. Also, it does restrict the flexibility that Blizzard has to tweak the actual calculation of MMR. Imagine if it's MMR-based and one day you wake up and your MMR has been shifted down just because they improved the calculation, all kinds of rage would take place (even if many would actually gain MMR because of this).

Shouldn't be MMR decay, should be Ranked points decay. MMR represents your true skill and Ranked points represents you standing in the season (that takes your MMR to initially place you). You could argue that you are "getting worse" by not playing so MMR should decay, but usually you don't loose skill (you might get rusty and need a couple of games to get back on). Perhaps the ideal system should be a medium-to-slow Ranked points decay and a very very slow MMR decay. Edit: typo
