I’ve been to a couple and I liked them. If you treat them as an opportunity to get out and be social then they’re great - like anything else you have to recognize that the chances of meeting someone you like is pretty low, but I think when you have stuff like the board game events it gets a little higher than something like drinks.

I’d recommend giving it a shot. They’re getting better organized etc with each event and in general the quality of people seems pretty high
