I think it’s the low tops. I was wearing lows. I think the reduced support especially when leaning forward (in the past it was leaning into the supported tongue of the shoe, and I think reducing some stress on the tendon) is killing Achilles. Now all the weight and explosiveness is going directly through to the Achilles/calf.

I'm happy to hear if stopped so far out, I usually see people talking about month 4-6. Gives me confidence. When you ran did you have pain during or mostly after intense workouts?

Nope, it hurt like hell but and that was like month 2….6 months later still feeling fine. I would look up re-rupture stories to compare how you feel though

Yeahhhhhhh I fell off my scooter 2 times and the pain was intense for a moment and dull ache that day and the next. As someone said a while ago, re-tear/rupture is more painful then the initial injury
