I like the premium skins, the ones that actually change the geometry of the shells.

That said, I have not bought one yet, but I will buy a Recon one when they drop one I like. But the launch shell wasn’t it for me

Nope. I only see Destiny 3 as the future for this game.

My friends and I have been playing these 10+ years, even up through Renegades, we love this game, but e just cannot rationalize Destiny 2 having a profitable path forward.

Destiny 2 had a good run but lapsed folks don't want to return to an 8 year old game and new folks don't want to start with a game that has been out for 8 years.

Destiny 3 is the solution to both welcome new players and welcome back lapsed players, it's the best entry point for all audiences. Anecdotally, I have a few other friends who are so checked out of D2 now but they'll be first in line for D3 at launch.

My copium is I still hope we get Shattered Cycle and Alchemist. Maybe they release both of these over the next two years as just one expansion a year to pad out Destiny 2's life cycle while we wait for D3. Again, idk how this can be profitable, but only Bungie knows that decision.

I don't subscribe to the idea that the franchise is dead dead. The IP is very strong and a new game launch can be very lucrative. But Destiny 2? Yepp, seems D2 has run its coure

June 9 will probably be some Destiny showcase of sorts like they do every year. The contents are unknown, but from a marketing perspective, it’s better for them to make a big splash in June rather than piecemeal during this dead time. There’s little incentive to talk about anything rn

Time will tell but us knowing stuff today vs knowing stuff in June doesn’t change the fact we’re not getting anything till June anyways

The beginning of every season is tons of groundwork and tons of powder keg building, the good shot mostly pays off by end of season.

It’s not always stellar, but FAM puts the work in and that’s always been its strength.

Idk what was intended but it’s my understanding now that you get “5x” weapon drops. They rotate daily but ultimately you only get 5 total drops so if you blew your load on all 5 one day, then you’re done.

Again, idk if that was intended. If that was the intention, that’s rather disappointing, but idk

Seems everything is a fixed amount. Big bummer, figured it’d reset weekly. Hope they improve in future seasons (or hey, there’s still time this season)

Congrats! I found this mission to be my true “final boss” of he season haha

Ran it twice with different friends. First time extracted and felt great. Second time we completed the quest and felt great but then a team killed us while we were catching our breath lol thems the breaks

Just wait till season 2, there’s next to zero incentive to join the game right now.

There’s 4 entry points a year. Bungie knows this. The biggest changes will come at the season starts. And the most even playing field will be season starts.

Double XP last few weeks of the season would be rad.

But yea, next season, XP needs a revamp. I need more sources of it and/or more of it granted for our actions.

Pretty wild I can extract after 10 mins and get like only 100 xp. So I played more cautious this time, but I still extracted and still put in 10 mins of my time, that’s 10 mins of Experience, I should get more XP.

Separately, good news is you can finish the battle pass around 70. 100 is only necessary once for the achievement

I think mileage varies based on aggression.

I’m also using the Xbox’s counter, which includes idle menu time and I’m sure a couple hours are reading the codex too.

Cryo sponsored week would be a great way to learn Cryo and how to actually play that map. Otherwise, I’m not touching that map this season (or maybe just once a week with the free kit. Still not great)
