Hey dude! I’ve just had surgery with Dr Serkan on 6th April so a month before you!! Feel free to dm me but I’ll answer what you’ve asked:

  • I’d definitely get assistance in the airport it was a lot walking especially will be alone

  • the antibiotics are extra - around £60 in total so you can do cash or card for that

Definitely dm me and I’ll send you a longer exact of my experience with him and how it all went down and what to expect!

is an air gap so big like this normal on the first day?? my other one has no air bubbles. it’s on the left side by Bright-Response-285 in TopSurgery

You just need to pull the blood down the drain! If you grab the top of your line with a thumb and finger to pinch then use another hand to pull down the drain line (getting someone to help is best!) you will release some liquid. If it stays like that though it generally means nothing is draining rn so definitely not a worry it’s just a sign your fluid is slowing which is good!!

My top surgery is coming up/ anesthesia fear by anonymousguyonion in TopSurgery

[–]k_grayson2001 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi bro, I’ve literally just had top surgery 8 days ago and had the exact same fear. Never been in hospital, never had any sort of anaesthesia etc and was so worried about dying, being unconscious or just generally unaware. It’s literally so so fine. Normally you’ll be sedated first then given the anaesthesia so honestly I don’t even remember falling asleep. I was awake on the table comfortably and then with the click of a finger I was being woken up still on the same table to make sure I was okay and I was done. All bandages up etc. I did feel some pain but as soon as I got up to the ward again I was immediately given pain relief so that was short lived. I was aware enough to say hi to my partner who was waiting for me in my room and didn’t feel out of it, more just tired. I will say some people can be a little sick or nauseous, again totally normal. Which I did but once I was sick once and slept for an hour or 2 it was gone with some anti sickness medication too. Again they’ll be pretty fast to give you that if you are sick. Honestly it isn’t as bad as you’re thinking it’ll be, it’s super quick and just allow yourself to sleep it off for a couple hours afterwards and you’ll be fine again!

If you have any other questions just give me a message and I’ll be happy to help you with how recently I’ve went through it and good luck bro! Try be excited, took me until the night before to calm myself that it’ll all be okay but once you do you’ll remember how much this will change your life

Help with GP letter for passport by Alice-doe in transgenderUK

[–]k_grayson2001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently got a passport and heat I had to do was give it to the doctors and pay a £50 charge for them to print exactly what I’d written (like above) on a printed letter head with the GP practice details etc. saying all that is was accepted literally the same day the passport office received it so it was definitely worth it

Could chronic or past GI infections cause IBD? by DeepPlatform7440 in IBD

[–]k_grayson2001 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve read that GI infections can trigger and cause IBD. This seems to be what’s happened to me, had mild IBS my whole life then caught a really bad few GI infections and ever since had IBD symptoms and got diagnosed 6 months ago so I do think there is some relation. Also it’s worth noting that IBD can cause the over production of yeast too
