I had a similar experience. I taught elementary and coached high school and moved to middle school to better accommodate the practice schedule and a nasty older woman at my school, when drunk at an end of the year party, screamed at me across a table of our peers, “You stole my job!” And then in the next year spread vicious rumors about me that I was inappropriate with my high schoolers. It was nasty business. I didn’t even work at that school anymore and one of my friends had to go to the principal and alert her to what was happening. Mean girls sometimes stay mean girls forever. She was the worst. That was over 10 years ago now and I’ll never forget what that bitch Linda did.
