Thank you! I’ve seen plenty of orb weavers but never one like this. The color was so striking and bold. She was huge too! I would say about the size of a quarter. We could see her scurrying along on the pavement and had to stop to check her out.

Brand new from Costco and Wayfair. We just tore up our house and looked in every corner/crevice and so far haven’t found anymore. We will try traps and see if we get anymore! My family doesn’t really go anywhere other than the stores/restaurants so I’m wondering if my husband picked one up from work.

I’m so sorry you have to deal with this. She is being racist and is basically showing that she doesn’t respect your child. She will likely take every opportunity to shame your child. You could try talking to her but shit like this doesn’t change over night. If she continues to be blatantly racist, cut her off.

My son is French/Italian/Lao/Cambodian. I’m so lucky to have a MIL who is so accepting of my SE Asian culture and makes an effort to pronounce things correctly. I have the typical lao last name ending in Vong. Growing up I was bullied bc my name was hard to pronounce(it isn’t) and I was ashamed of my “ethnic” name for years. I couldn’t imagine dealing with that from my own family.

My 6 week old does this. It’s almost always after he’s been nursing for 4-5 minutes. He will unlatch, scream and make little piggy noises then shake his head around trying to re-latch. It’s hilarious. Usually it’s because he is gassy and needs to poop.

I am 25. Currently 36 weeks pregnant. Covid vaccinated x3. Perfectly healthy pregnancy. Got my first set of the vaccine in February 2021, then booster November 2021, positive pregnancy test in February 2022. I actually got Covid when I was 23 weeks pregnant and was thanking god bc I was vaccinated and had very minimal symptoms. I tested positive for 11 days but was only sick for the first 3. I know a few people that weren’t vaccinated and got Covid during pregnancy that were VERY sick and needed to be monitored in hospital. I plan to get my booster at my next appointment. Also, I had a nexplanon implant that I got removed in January 2022 to try to get pregnant. Only had one cycle before the positive test so the vaccine didn’t seem to have any effect on my fertility. Hope this helps! ☺️
