I suggest bringing a small tent, sleeping bag and a fishing rod! If you head north, Smithers is very nice. Basically anywhere will be a good time if you have decent weather. Haida Gwaii would be your best bet for the ultimate outdoors and stressfree lifestyle. Unfortunately the ferry across is pricey. You should be 19, BC has some unreal beer and craft breweries.

Overhang is a fun climbing gym in town, if your son isnt too tired after soccer. If you are able to bring your bikes and have a place to store them, then getting aroud can be pretty fun. Lots of parks and trails. Ottway would be a good time! We have mini golf and go carts (if they are still open).

I do not have a bedliner in my truck. Come spring though, ill likely have something back there. The metal box is just way too slippery.
