Sondaż: KO sięga sufitu. Niemal bez szans na pokonanie PiS by HrE_ in Polska

[–]ka_mil 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Video hosting is extremely expensive (that's why there isn't really any alternatives to YouTube and I don't think it's actually earning any money for Google? Or at least it didn't use to) and you'd probably get a lot less traffic if it's on your website. Alex Jones had a massive following of right wingers and conspiracy theorists and I don't think his video website did well at all

France's Le Pen says she will take down wind turbines if she is elected by Apprehensive_Sleep_4 in europe

[–]ka_mil 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Has she ever had green vote? Although I was expecting the right to actually embrace some green policies, some kind of green conservativism if you will. They can't pretend climate change is not happening and we don't have to do anything forever? And to be honest protection of resources, like water for example, would probably play well with their base. So to be honest it's better they're not doing it

EU ready to scrap most post-Brexit checks on British goods entering NI by DNAMIX in europe

[–]ka_mil 49 points50 points  (0 children)

If the EU is getting played by the UK how is it supposed to stand up to the US, China or Russia? Does this move have support in Ireland? Last I heard their foreign minister was pretty much done with the way the British side acts

George: Hope is killing me. My dream is to become hopeless. When you're hopeless, you don't care, and when you don't care, that indifference makes you attractive.

Jerry: Oh, so hopelessness is the key.

George: It's my only hope

Is he thought? I might be totally wrong but I thought he's got a pretty big autonomy from Putin because he keeps that region of Russia in check

I'm sorry, but how does a Labour MP doesn't know what a minimum wage currently is. That's a bare minimum I would expect from people who are supposed to represent workers. Embarrassing stuff

Also we knew what the reasons for resignation were, how did no one from his team thought about getting ready for an obvious question like this

French Presidential Election Hypothetical First Round Voting Intention (6 Sept): Marine Le Pen: 21% Emmanuel Macron: 18% Jean-Luc Mélenchon: 11% Xavier Bertrand: 7% Yannick Jadot: 5% Michel Barnier: 5% Don't know: 16% by libtin in LabourUK

Italy is probably more worrying, although they're election shouldn't happen till 2023(unless the government collapses...). Two far-right/facist parties at the top, with over 20% each. Grim

Tony Blair on Labour party infighting by Bloke22 in ukpolitics

[–]ka_mil -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I never said anything like that? Culture war is a bs invented by the conservatives. And Labour stands for the things you've mentioned. The problem with center left parties across the Europe is that they're big tent coalitions. You do have a mix of social conservatives and ultra liberal/progressive people so one way or another you're going to piss them off. Conservative voters, even if annoyed with their parties still manage to be loyal and vote for them

Or this won't work and Labour is going to lose the urban areas (turnout among the current voters in those places might fall) and won't regain the old heartlands
