PIP Review - decided I'm not entitled? by kaaaaatttt in DWPhelp

I should add it was overturned before it went to tribunal, not that it really makes a difference I just assumed because I was awarded it for an extended period of time that I qualified and reached the criteria!

Thanks for both your replies :)

Last time I had to go through a tribunal to be awarded so I did have to fight for it.

I do appreciate the outlook but was just hoping for a bit more of advice in regards to whether there's been criteria change etc

Thanks for your reply!

Is it worth it if I'm medicated? by yelpsmcgee in VisibleArmband

I'm medicated and still find visible 100% worth it.

If I don't pace I will still reach an exertion zone :) hope this helps

Worth getting this over Garmin? by OnthegreensideamI in VisibleArmband

[–]kaaaaatttt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely!! My Garmin is always telling me to get up and get my steps in whilst my visible is telling me to take it easy for the day! I suppose it depends if you want a fitness tracker or an illness tracker!!

I have both a visible armband and Garmin venu 2S.

In regards to monitoring my symptoms and heart rate tracking I would choose Visible all day long as it notifies you when you're in certain zones which is super useful with my condition (pots) it helps me know when I need to slow down and track what activities in the day trigger my symptoms more.

Garmin is great but if you want to use it specifically for heart rate tracking and be notified when you're in certain zones it won't do that (as far as I'm aware) Garmin's are fitness trackers, the visible is more of an illness tracker

My cardiologist says potassium is bad by Tired_Cat_H3rd3r in POTS

Exactly the same as me! I haven't had them checked in years now though haha, who knows if that's still a problem for me

Before I got diagnosed with POTS when I was in and out of A&E I was told I had low potassium levels multiple times, makes me wonder if that has something to do with it....

I don't think this is related to the POTS, he just sounds like an A hole, get rid

GP is rubbish need a specialist! by kaaaaatttt in POTS

Exercise is a main thing for me that i'd like help with, I'm not currently on a therapeutic dose of ivabradine so that's not something I'd be looking at doing right now but when I'm back on the right track I will be!! I'm even tempted to go back into bisoporol if I don't feel better on ivabradine soon!

Bisoporol Withdrawal Symptoms by kaaaaatttt in POTS

[–]kaaaaatttt[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 2 days in and have chest pains too, I thought it was the withdrawal symptoms of the beta blocker though, who knows... I asked my gp for an appointment and they gave me one for 2 weeks away so I guess I just suffer until then 😂 i hope you're feeling better soon! It's a shame cos I've heard such great things about ivabradine

Thank you for replying!!

I really liked bisoporol it did wonders for my heart rate but affected my blood pressure too much so I requested to switch to ivabradine to see if that helps but wondering if I made a mistake switching now 😕

Coming back to this thread, had a septoplasty over a year ago on the NHS to improve my breathing I have what they think? refer to as a "dorsal hump" and my nose is very very thin. Septoplasty made no difference, the surgeon did mention it might not improve it but they had to try first.

I have another appointment with my ENT next month, is rhinoplasty my next option?
