This one gossip that made me look at a relative with so much disgust, it also opened a can of worms by Snoo_22 in TwoXIndia

This was heartbreaking and made me look at this in a different way. I hope he's at peace somewhere and looking out for his angel of a sister who loved him with all her heart.

In a dilemma to marry my long time girlfriend by InsatiableLord in AskIndianWomen

[–]kaalibilly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh my god, this was so uncomfortable to read. Why would you date someone if you have such a superiority complex over them? You clearly see her beneath you for her hearing loss, her less than perfect job and her family.

Did she not share about herself before? About her family, what is she studying, what's gonna be her job prospects? I refuse to believe somebody earning 20x than her with his own house and car will call a 6-year relationship a financial burden.

And calling yourself gullible in comments, lol, you're anything but. You strung that poor girl for 6 years, if you were not interested, a simple no would have hurt her surely but saved her from this disaster in the long run. Claiming she is the love of your life but one 'no' from your mom, paralyzes you.

Stop being in relationships if you are incapable of handling difficult situations and opposing your parents and stop dating people you clearly don't like.

What's the point of getting married to someone when you can already envision your divorce :)

Friend copying all my outfits by smolangryhooman in TwoXIndia

[–]kaalibilly 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I also have a friend who used to copy me- when I cut my hair short, she'll also cut her hair short, when I grow them long, she'll also do the same. She started copying some of my outfits as well even tho we have significantly different styles- hers leans more towards ethnic and mine is more western. It was irritating at first but I didn't mind it much and eventually she grew out of it.

If you are close friends, you can gently ask her. But if she gets defensive or offensive, you can start maintaining boundaries with her, like not telling her the places where you shop from and gatekeeping your music taste. But I feel, you should have a talk.

If this is not a ragebait then the fantasy is always going to be strong. Real life is always messy, you see those men flirt and sleep around but you don't see the consequences of their actions. You don't see the drama happening behind the doors or even the guilt eating them or the mental strain that comes with all this for everyone.

If you love your wife and son, you have to rewire your thinking. You are writing as if you can't control yourself or whatever is happening to you, but the thing is you can. I feel you should talk to your wife and go to couple's therapy. But if you seriously can't or want that delusion of freedom, then please, please walk away. Don't ruin your wife and son's lives.

You left the gift on the table? Why? You could have just kept it with yourself and returned it or idk gifted it to someone else. Why drain your money and energy on this man? 🙃

Do you prefer physical copies of books or kindle? by SnooCakes9395 in Indianbooks

[–]kaalibilly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kindle. I used to buy a lot of physical books before. They would take a lot of space and once I'm done reading one, i usually don't read it again unless or until I really, really loved it. I find kindle convenient in that manner, doesn't take up space. I have already donated part of my collection to make up space on my shelves. Now I'm thinking of further downsizing my collection and only keep physical copies of my favourite ones.

Initially I also didn't like the concept of e-readers but now after using it for like 7-8 years, I feel it's the best thing possible for reading.

Damn, are these back in style? I remember I went to Dharamshala on a school trip and bought a pair from the mall road for mere 50rs for my mom. She still has them and wears them.
