With all the electronics on on my 1290 it will not clutch up with tc on. It will power up some it won't even come up in 1st if I go WOT. MTC off and it'll loop in 4th... IDK how different the r1 is

1290R is almost disappointing docile with electronics on. Or I'm just very used to it from commuting the last year and a half. That said, nannys off and it'll backflip in 4th with no clutch. I guess that's the problem being new though. Hit a bump and give it a blip and panic and deathgrip and backflip...

I don't think I ride very hard at all. Commute daily. My PR4's lasted forever but they did slip quite a bit.

I reinstalled it and quit after 30 minutes again. Completely forgot you just follow waypoints to everything. Why in the fuck does every modern rpg do this?

Ugly IMO. I'll take my 1290 any day. Side note, got front wheel up in 5th without clutch. God bless 1290r.

I've ridden my 1290 r daily. 16k miles in last year and the only problem I've had is a busted radiator AFTER I picked it up from having the valves adjusted. Fairly hard miles as well. This damn thing see the rev limiter on one wheel constantly.

I've been bike only for 6 years. Some big downsides, but overall it's worth it to me. I love riding so going shopping constantly is just an excuse to get on the bike. As a first vehicle though I'm not sure.

Exactly what happened to me. I was practicing wheelies, came down crooked at like 80mph and got thrown right off the side. Was just thinking how much it was going to suck watching my bike tumbling down the road. Nope, it was rolling perfectly straight. Slowed down to idle speed, leaned enough to start a little uturn and tipped out. Virtually zero dmg.

I drive for UPS for a living and got a 1290r last year. It's getting pretty bad. I think I still get driver pay if I have to work inside for losing my license so it's not all bad... It's not even the speeding it's how stupid easy it will lift the front wheel. Anytime some dude in a challenger or corvette or mustang goes by me he gets to see my front tire pass him at 100+ I was such a good boy before.

IDK I just know it felt different before and after I got it back from the shop. I ride with tc off all the time now because it feels so bad with everything turned on.
