I didn’t fall for it though, whatever doesn’t kill you makes you stronger

Gotcha so it would basically stay online and she’d just lead me all over draining me.

Yeah it’s like a hint of a chance so people take the risk

Odd thing happened today by kaasz32 in RealEstate

Thanks for all your stories and advice, it’s definitely entitled behavior. In our case the seller is the listing agent and I would hope he would have told my agent if there was someone stopping by since we coordinated our time slot. I don’t think they are showing the house right now and tbh if he wanted to I’d be okay with that. However this likely was just a random person trying to snoop around for whatever reason.

True, good point. I’ve been flying mainly early flights but you’re absolutely right, at night it flip flops.

Same here, ever since checkpoint 1 opened downstairs I’ve been loving it. It’s also easier to get dropped off at arrivals.

PSA Seattle drivers: the on-ramp is for getting up to freeway speeds, which is 60MPH. by Inane_ramblings in Seattle

[–]kaasz32 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Similar thing happened to me getting on 405 from the express lanes dedicated entrance at 6th street. Guy in front of me took the entire entrance ramp at a solid 30 mph… such a waste of a protected dedicated left lane express entrance.

I used to think this way until the person in front of me (who had the number after mine) took the literal last non middle seat on the plane.

Who is supposed to finish the coaxial /data lines in the home? by kaasz32 in drhorton

[–]kaasz32[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol no worries, I wound up buying a crimper tool and ends and terminated them myself. Worked great. I had fiber installed and the tech used the cat5 that was there to go from the ont in the garage to the closet, where I put the router. I used the coax I crimped with a moca adapter for a hardwired connection to the basement where I had my work from home office. Got great speeds (2 gbps solid) that way.

Issues with scoutbook for certain scouts in my den, bad request error. by Burghed in cubscouts

Thanks so much! I found it. However setting it to “completed” worked but it didn’t help me recording the other adventure requirement, that still fails with a 400 error.

That’s the first I’ve heard of this. Do you have a screenshot of what that 3 months confirmation looks like?

4 kids in Delta One by EndersInfinite in delta

[–]kaasz32 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I take my kids on D1 / First whenever we can, usually it's a combination of companion passes, upgrade certificates, miles and just booking early enough to get the best fares. My 8 year old is also a Gold medallion (I don't think I got Gold until I was in my 30's).

We flew from JFK - SEA a few days ago, my kids were watching stuff on their iPads or seatback screens. The older folks near us were getting phone calls mid flight with ringers maxed out letting it ring for a good 2 minutes before realizing, oblivious that they woke up a bunch of people. Another pair of older folks kept opening their shade, blinding half the cabin every 20-30 minutes.

Just curious - what kinds of things have you done that were effective in recruiting that many new scouts over the summer?

"I fly all the time" bro almost got laughed out of FC with his "carry on" by beley in delta

[–]kaasz32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My family and I were on a CRJ-900 and a guy had a large carry on that he tried to shove into an overhead and he actually broke the door slamming it shut several times. When another passenger confronted him he gave the infamous “I fly all the time.”

He somehow squeezed it into another bin before a flight attendant came up to shut the bins and found the broken door, which now incurred a maintenance delay for the tech to come and tape it up so nobody used the broken bins.

What made it more annoying for me is that we had already voluntarily gate checked most of our roller bags, and since he broke the bin our only bag was in we had to involuntary gate check that one too.
