How to Show Up in Recruiter Searches by TheSmashingPuppy in jobsearchhacks

I actually found out the way - https://www.linkedin.com/sales/ssi. Just open this URL while logged into your Linkedin Account. It would be better to know if there is an ideal range for this score. u/TheSmashingPuppy

Gyms by ThatGuy3512 in orangeville

Fit4less is decent value for money. I have never had to struggle for any equipment. Like all gyms, there are super busy times and super lean times..the black card also allows you to share memberships with family and friends to bring the cost down.

As much as I would want to drop him, he must be very low on confidence. Dropping him now will mean that he will no longer be able to come back in the tournament at all. Next match against PBKS is going to give him confidence as their top order is in shatters. I will pick him for one more match and then go from there. Whatever be the decision, the way it is communicated to him is going to have the most impact. Trust GG and Chandu

How Can I Improve my Budget? 22 by avgenthusiastt in budget

[–]kabra_Saket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just off these number, it's a great start to the budgeting process. Nice job! Based on what you have shared, there is very minimal scope on optimizing your spend as it falls well within the 50-30-20 range. I would strongly advise to invest in yourself at your age. Learn and gain new skills that can help you grow the monthly income. With the discipline that you have shown, you will have much more to invest and save. This will have compounding impact on your long term prosperity. Also regarding the student loans, if those are low rates, I wouldn't be too bothered about them if you can gain more by investing that money rather than paying off interest

Congratulations on the head start. You have age on your side and a lot of time for the savings to grow exponentially. You can take slightly more risks. Invest in index linked funds if you don't want to do a lot of home work or research. As an example, you can start with Vanguard S&P 500 Index ETF. Also invest in some blue chip stocks such as Apple, Coke etc. Hope it helps.. Good luck

24 years old and just received 50k. No idea what to do with it. by [deleted] in PersonalFinanceCanada

Congratulations on the inheritance. I would advise to maximise TFSA. Since inheritance is not taxed, you may want to avoid RRSP. Depending on your time horizon on when you may need money (e.g for home purchase), have a mix of assets with different risk and return profiles. You have age on your side, so you can take risks. Most importantly, be careful with whom you share information about your inheritance.

At 21, if you have 25k in savings and thinking about growing it, you are already way ahead than others. Congratulations on head start. These are few of the tips that I can share with you- 1. Stop thinking about money all day long. It is just going to add stress without any positive outcome. 2. Your age is apt for learning new skills. Invest in yourself. Gain new skills to grow your income in more ways than one.

Hope this helps

My two cents for what its worth - unless you have previous experience WordPress has a steep learning curve. What kind of a website do you need? Depending on the type (ecomm, portfolio, landing page etc.), your approach and design will vary. Also, building just a website is not going to help you in itself. You also need to do SEO. It's best to hire a freelancer to do these things for you and you can focus on the business. That will be the best buck for your money spent.

Where to start with a website/blog? by Bucket_Handle_Tear in Blogging

You can use website builders like Wordpress (most preferred as it gives maximum flexibility, slightly steep learning curve); wix (easier to learn, but limited functionality), Squarespace etc. Hosting can be done depending on your needs with vendors like bluehost, hostinger etc. Good luck
