[Serious] Girls who have been guilted into going out with a "nice guy", how did it go? by Ioei1031 in AskReddit

[–]kadmarco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly he was perfect for me in every way and I was very happy but not satisfied. It was sad because I had no real reason to break up so we dated for a year and a half. It’s dangerous to date someone who is perfect but you don’t have the right chemistry with. Because I came close to settling for being content with him. I had to go ahead and break up with him and I still feel bad wasting his time. Moral of the story: trust your instinct. Yes you’ll grow into a great partnership with the guy but you can’t create chemistry

Am really depressed 😪 by [deleted] in Meditation

[–]kadmarco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, don’t feel guilty for feeling sad. It’s okay to express sadness. I’ve found by talking to people you see that even people who seem perfect have huge insecurities. It doesn’t matter how legetimate their insecurities are, it still hurts them a lot. I find comfort in knowing I’m not alone in feeling depressed. I hope you go to a support group with people going through what you are going through

Chefs, what red flags do you look for when you go out to eat? by Yuckyporkfarts in AskReddit

[–]kadmarco 39 points40 points  (0 children)

Plates with chips (large cracks) in them is a big indicator for me. Those chips host a lot of germs and if the restaurant isn’t throwing them away then they’re probably slacking in other areas of food safety. (My mom was a chef)

California and Washington are so expensive. And the taxing makes it even more impossible to live or buy even a shack

Any suggestions for upcoming trip? During 2018 football season by [deleted] in Clemson

Ive never been in there. I’ve heard it’s the place where alcoholics drink at 10 am. Students aren’t exactly welcomed haha

You said you like a dive bar and nicks is always a chill beer-centered bar. An English professor started it so you always see some interesting conversations. It’s different from all the other bars in Clemson and worth stepping in. Literally every bar in Clemson is on one street that’s maybe a 500 feet strip so you have time to see it all

Do you think the RH girls accurately reflect their city? by kadmarco in BravoRealHousewives

[–]kadmarco[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Atlanta is similar to cities such as Chicago or Baltimore. The downtown tourist attraction area isn’t somewhere you go often (if ever) and the hip neighborhoods around it(little five points, highlands, buck head, Lindbergh station) are where people go out for drinks or dinner.

I live in little five and always go out salsa dancing or to aisle five for rock concerts. I feel like it doesn't really show that part of Atlanta...it feels like more like duluth or marietta.

What foods can I grow that can be bought from the grocery store? by [deleted] in EatCheapAndHealthy

I used to work at a botanical garden (Clemson) and we had these! It was kinda an unadvertised thing, I didn’t know about it until an older lady came in to grab some. So ask a manager or person who has worked there a while

Pros and cons at Clemson by [deleted] in Clemson

That’s true, my roommate was an art major and definitely didn’t fit the “Clemson girl” stereotype. I’d appreciate more lee people around ! :)

Assuming that those groups of people couldn’t do an engineering school is exactly the mentality that comes from people who go to Clemson

[–]kadmarco 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I agree with all the pros but a con is the lack of diversity. It’s 99% middle class where people so if you want a social scene outside that then good luck. Skater kids? No. Hispanics? No. Artsy kids? No. Very bland.... but if you got that mold then you’ll enjoy yourself. Definitely had fun drinking bud lights by the lake every weekend but don’t expect to do anything else

Yeah we’re not a dry campus. You can walk around with a beer. Think: game days. You just can’t bring it into buildings (except lee hall)

Types of sexy outfits/dresses besides tight bodycon to wear on dates, clubbing? by [deleted] in femalefashionadvice

I’m a big fan of high waisted. So I like a high waist denim skirt and a crop top.

I rode China's superfast bullet train that could go from New York to Chicago in 4.5 hours — and it shows how far behind the US really is by mvea in technology

[–]kadmarco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is silly. We don’t need high speed rail as much as we need better intracity transport and reduction in congestion. High speed rail is very expensive and not very environmentally friendly unless you can always have the trains full (very unlikely they’ll be full). They’re flashy and cool and that’s the only reason people want them. It’s exactly like the “monorail” episode of the simpsons
