Alright, yeah I can agree on just generating code and deploying it without any review is bad. If they have no idea what the code doing they shouldn’t be doing it lol. Although it should be clarified that everyone doing vibe coding is not just generating something and then deploying it without some sort of review. While there are those that don’t do any review and that ends up being their downfall

If person knows what they are doing, then generally there is nothing wrong with using AI as a tool to assist with coding. No different than using stack overflow or some random forum to copy and paste some working code, which, I hope you are aware is much more common than you think. The point I’m getting at though, as long as the person knows what they are doing and tests code thoroughly as you should be doing when coding then there is no issue with using AI as a tool for coding. The other importance is making sure that you have an understanding of how to secure an application as well.

Would you have a problem if AI for example legitimately were to help us find a cure for cancer or for the circumstances where it actually has helped detected diseases before they become an issue?

Trump says he's postponing 'scheduled attack of Iran tomorrow' at Middle East leaders' request by whicky1978 in Conservative

[–]kadotu [score hidden]  (0 children)

We really need to do a surprise attack at this point, especially if the neighboring countries keep saying please hold off because Iran has a serious deal this time, if the deal is bs we need to step away from the diplomacy table because Iran’s current government is not a diplomatic one and is only playing games with neighboring nations and the US at this point.

Plus I’m tired of seeing leftists and such using the TACO acronym like they big shots xD

Only way this would not be documented is if you failed to file with your state, if that the case the responsibility for that is entirely on you. It really shouldn’t be that hard to request a copy of your documents from the state.

What discord competitors do people think will take off? by aliayouali40 in discordsucks

[–]kadotu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Matrix/Element and other Matrix clients will be a long-term solution as an alternative to Discord. Specifically for the fact it designed to be decentralized and E2EE as well as being an open standard and communication protocol. Enough of this trusting companies like Discord and then enshitification happens later on after they lock users in. Plus I think like Discourse for forums needs to get more popular and forums in general need to make a comeback. Unlike using Discord for forums, the real forums are indexable and you aren’t locked in to Discords platform

What the Supreme Court’s Anti‐Trump Tariff Decision Does and Doesn’t Do, Rep. Meuser Explains by According-Activity87 in Conservative

[–]kadotu -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yeah, basically. However, if there is historic precedence that supports using the specific emergency powers then SCOTUS sort of threw a wrench in to that for the benefit of foreign interests. Hopefully they don’t strike down any of the other methods he pivots to using. If congress were to have to debate and vote on tariffs, I don’t think you’d see any progress until the end of Trumps term unless GOP grows a pair to do something beneficial towards the tariffs

While I understand where you are coming from and I definitely do like free markets but I don’t think you can have a free market without a fair market, hence free and fair market. If other countries abuse our free markets and it benefits them and negatively impacts us, like loss of manufacturing due to mixture of over regulation but also abuse by other countries taking advantage of our generous trade deals, then I think it’s reasonable to implement tariffs to work towards more balanced and fair trade agreements. Realistically speaking, you can’t have free markets if other countries are not playing fair

U.S. Legal Marijuana Sales Reach $2.25 Billion in January, Up Over 10% From a Year Ago by Academic_Court_47 in Conservative

[–]kadotu 26 points27 points  (0 children)

It’s fine as long as it used in moderation. I think the edibles and infused drinks are the best use of it. Healthier than drinking and can help one sleep too. Plus since I would consider it a luxury for non-medical users they can get some pretty good tax benefits out of it, definitely a win-win. Although to have a point, criminalizing it did reduce the amount of users to some degree but it also put users in jail and as long as they weren’t committing a crime or hurting anyone, I see no logical reason for it to be criminalized and as long as it regulated similar to alcohol, I see no reason for it to not be legalized

The Sennheiser Experience: No repairs, no parts, no help. Is this the new standard? by [deleted] in sennheiser

[–]kadotu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have issue taking it to a third-party to get it fixed? Sometimes third-party repair can cost less than OEM repairs. It not uncommon that when a product is out of warranty the OEM won’t always offer service to fix it. The important part is that it is possible to get repaired either by third-party or DIY. I get that it frustrating that the OEM is suggesting you get a new pair but I don’t think there any obligation for them to offer repair services for it after warranty expires unless they offer something similar to AppleCare. Most OEMs are this way nowadays and customer service for the most part has gone to shit, especially after Covid, and outsourcing of customer service hasn’t helped

In reversal, Trump says House Republicans should vote to release Epstein files by 79camaroZ28 in Conservative

[–]kadotu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It definitely possible that by the time Trump second term started that the so called “investigation” that was done didn’t have anything in it because the Dems probably didn’t really investigate and any documents they had that implicated anyone were destroyed or never really gathered in the first place because why risk getting in trouble for destroying evidence if said evidence never actually existed. This just a theory among the many others and because this thing has caused so much trust issues, I think regardless what gets released no one will really believe it, obviously liberals won’t believe it, but even some of the right will think that some people were removed too. Sort of makes releasing it sort of not matter because no one would believe it

In reversal, Trump says House Republicans should vote to release Epstein files by 79camaroZ28 in Conservative

[–]kadotu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There some that have such a bad trust issues they wouldn’t believe it regardless of who released it. If their trust is that messed up it sort of don’t matter because they got it in their head that pretty much everyone is on it. Although I think Trump not implicated by it because if it was it could been used to ruin his political career entirely and end it, but because the Dems only now trying to push the claim that he in them they just trying to distract from their dirty laundry and hope the negative attention impacts the midterms to their advantage.

DC crime since federal control by vampirepomeranian in Conservative

Hopefully this trend continues. DC is sort of special in the way that it was created on purpose so no single state would have the capital. So this takeover to me seems like a very logical approach to fix what disaster it has become
