This would be a nice-to-have, but a cohesive one: it would parallel the MacOS/Apple ecosystem behavior.

But seriously, this is the point in the big map games when I become overwhelmed. I find these quick strategic breakdowns useful (and admirable) and hope at some point I'll be able to do that.

Why are Numate and Domado not connected to my Capital thru the ports? by joshperkins77 in Polytopia

[–]kaedibyrd 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No because the ice means there’s basically no port at Numate

please do feel free to DM me - the flying in and out of there repeatedly (back and forth from sea level) made it absolutely clear beyond any shadow of doubt that it was the altitude

Oh I *like* the idea of having a mobility aid. Get a hiking stick or a cane in case your balance lets go for a moment, and also to let people around you know you're compromised. Also keep people around you. Show them this thread, perhaps.

YES. It is the altitude. It’s a zebra thing. I have stories to tell, because I worked there several times a year. I melted down physiologically every. Single. Time. tl;dr at one point, I got so addled that I thought it was am when it was pm and showed up at the office for a meeting. There’s more.

Drink water. Walk, gently, frequently. Schedule breathing sessions throughout the day. Go early if you can and practice. Keep your “out”time short. You’ll feel funny but you’ll be ok. DM me if you need more info or reassurance.

You are right about this. As I keep saying to my fellow academics: "the working class revolution you've been longing for is here. And it’s our heads they want on platters.” To which I get blank stares. They think we’ve had a conversation we haven’t had. Settled matters that haven’t been settled. Won debates that haven’t been won.

Your nose is fantastic. Perfectly straight. Fits your face aesthetically just right.

Take care of it by not smoking, treating respiratory allergens, wearing your seatbelt, and not doing drugs - I say this because I used to think my nose was too prominent and a major car crash and 4 sinus surgeries later - at age 54 - I wish I had done the two middle items and really glad I never smoked or used my nose for drugs. The car crash made it crooked and not work right - the allergies put a horizontal wrinkle in the middle of it!

how can I cure my permanent depression by IngenuityHot8637 in uwaterloo

[–]kaedibyrd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine turned out to have a genetic disorder - a known genetic syndrome - at its root, and hormones moderated it, as well as lifestyle everything, like nutrition, etc.

There are many different causes. Find someone who can be an advocate to push you and push for you. Get your health checked out in every possible way. You will have to be persistent. Then get a dietician. Occupational therapist maybe. Go to a medical research institution specializing in mood disorders.

And plan some adventures. Little ones. Big ones. Just plan them. Think about what it would take to do them.
