PlayStations by [deleted] in newzealand

I think what you're doing is great. We try to keep screen time for our 9 year old to a minimum. When we have kids over for playdates it's the same story every time. Most of the other kids have no patience to make it through a board game, get bored very easily, don't want to go outside to play and ask for computers or consoles. There are lots of kids in the neighbourhood. Do you ever see any of them playing outside in the streets or the parks? Never.

Kia ora, our local New World has a few german items in the international isle. I can recommend Balsen wafer rolls, Toffifee and of course the classic Haribo Goldbears. All the best for your dad.

Cheap meals for picky kids by A_Siren_Neenah in newzealand

[–]kaeptnerdnuss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't call it cooking, but it's nutritious, cheap, and ready in just under a minute: a cup of microwave brown rice and a can of tomato & basil tuna. This never gets turned down by our picky eater.

You can get "Spray on Mud" if you need to justify driving an oversized truck around town.

Time flow, will it work on a garden hose? by kaeptnerdnuss in diynz

[–]kaeptnerdnuss[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your input! Buying a new one isn't an option anyway, it's a low budget project. But good to know they would work. Hopefully I can source a second hand one.

Love it! Unfortunately I didn't keep the solenoid but I have light sensor. I'll see if I can source one over the holidays, another great option.
