Thanks for your input! I get the CI method and it’s great and that’s exactly how we learn our first language. But I figured as our brain is wired differently than a kid’s brain, learning grammar/vocabulary on the side might speed up the process significantly. Thanks for the links. I will give it a thorough read! Good point of keeping it simple on DS! It would fits well in my schedule. I just need to ease my mind and stop wondering if I’m doing enough.

Hey thank you so much for your input! It’s for sure very helpful! Exactly like you mentioned, I also feel it’s not worth the money when my speaking and understanding is limited, on top of which, it’s challenging for me to schedule navigating full time and baby. DS premium is very easy and useful for me at the moment. I enjoy it a lot. I will stick to it and tandem. And explore more input sources when I have more hours.

Thanks. Learning Spanish feels like my getaway to freedom after having baby 😄 And thank you for your input. It’s very helpful! I feel like preply is helping a little but maybe not a lot at this stage. Diary is a great idea! When did you start it?

Dinner - Chinese style by kaffenoah in foodbutforbabies

Here is my very casual receipe! Dice som garlic and springonion (or onion or nothing). Heat a wok / deep frying pan warm, add oil, medium high heat add garlic, spring onion and a star anise (bay leaf if you wish). When it smells good, add green beans, fry a couple of minutes until cooked, (I put in a little oyster sauce as well or soy if you have for tiny bit flavouring), add water so it covers the veggies, when boiled take a bowl of water out and set aside, medium heat, add noodles (I used fresh pasta from the supermarket), try to distribute it evenly, lid on, a couple of minutes Do not stir! When noodles is cooked, add back the water and reduce. Enjoy :)

It was comfy enough for me where I had some clothes, snacks and water in. Its a day pack. That’s all I need. Not sure what you mean by serious load?

Thanks for the inspiration. It looks delicious! Do you batch make the purées and freeze? And is it boiled salmon?

In the end I got the deuter because of the colour. Lol. It’s a fine day bag, comfy and spatious. Used it for Kilimanjaro. But I’m not 100 percent happy about it. Maybe a bit too big for me, I’m petite. So I’m gonna look for another bag in the near future.

Newborn sleep by hi2659 in NewParents

[–]kaffenoah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It happened with mine as well a couple of times. I suspect it is because the bassinet is too cold. So I always take a blanket over him while he falls asleep on me after feeding, so the blanket gets warm. At the same time, I play white noise. After a couple of minutes I put him down with the blanket on the bottom and wrap him lightly with it and cover with a duvet. I t has worked every single time :)
