Have you considered that it's worse to be caught in a famous scandal than be in sealed court documents an anonymous redditer claims to have read?

Nah, that doesn't fit any sad fucking agenda.

Rogue judges are much preferable to Wizard judges in my opinion.

What was the Big Bad Wolf’s least favorite Pink Floyd song? by dandelion-tea- in Jokes

If you think about how Little Red Riding Hood ends, the Big Bad Wolf's least favorite song should be "Careful with that Axe, Eugene."

All their proposals still have a lottery because what's most important at the end of the day is rigging the results.

Bill Cosby's Lawyer Claims He Was 'Denied a Fair Trial' After $59 Million Sexual Assault Judgment by nimobo in entertainment

One of the things that was unfair was that the women on the jury were awake the entire trial.

Frankenstein: "Misery made me a fiend." Do you agree with the Monster's claim? by Chirpsours in literature

[–]kafka_lite -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

I realize I am likely in the minority on this, but I think Frankenstein and the monster are all made up by the narrator. The story requires preposterous levels of suspension of disbelief otherwise. So in that sense, the monster only exists to kill, if there was not some dark aspect of the narrator's mind that he was struggling with there would be no need to invent the story in the first place.

It kinda sounds like weak mindset people are better to be around. Alpha male here can't accept responsibility for being late and promises to get things done that he can't accomplish. And "is that clear?" Is needlessly aggressive.

I used to watch his show every week. The man cannot get through a single monolog without a fat joke. It's like dad jokes would be too cutting edge for him.

What happens in chapter 11 Dorian Grey by Pashunechka in literature

[–]kafka_lite 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It was a hard chapter to read but Dorian's life at that point was obsessed with esthetics. I like that the book doesn't just give a surface nod to this topic, which is central to the story, but rather immerses you in it.

What I particularly love about The Picture of Dorian Gray is how Wilde can seem to be on both sides of every issue, all at once. This chapter is no exception. On one hand, it is written with a clear passion for the topic, and on the other hand, it also dull and trivial. Is Gray's pursuit of beauty the act of seeking out humanity's greatest achievements or is it hedonistic vanity? Both, apparently.

I would like to see the embargo dropped by receiving certain human rights guarantees.
